Chapter 111 Interrogation.
Watching them talk, a wave of pure rage washed over her.
“I wasn’t the first one to do it. Blame Lucas,” Cedric said.
“Well, you were the one who attacked her the second time,” Lucas shot back.
“And you too, Bruce…”
“We all did it. Let’s not pretend anyone’s innocent here,” Neil said.
“If we can just trick Joanna into coming back and convince her to skip college for now…”
Bastards! Ungrateful scumbags!
She didn’t even know which made her angrier-this one, or when Lucas forced her to quit the
team.
Maybe because she’d already been betrayed before, she suddenly felt calm.
But her eyes were full of hate.
She wanted to kill them.
But the Interstellar Talent Protection Act not only protected people like her, but also Lucas and the others, since they were S-rank students, even if they didn’t get into college.
If she killed them, four people meant 400 million in penalties, plus years doing time on Grayfog Star.
On top of that, she wouldn’t be allowed to go to college.
They weren’t worth it.
She wouldn’t ruin her whole life over a bunch of scum.
Joanna took a deep breath and calmed herself.
She had other ways.
connections now. If the law couldn’t punish them, she’d use those connections. sent that message without a clear purpose.
opez, with evidence this solid, can I put them on trial and make them pay? Same charge arming interstellar talent.”

Maverick nodded right away.
“Of course.”
Maverick was obviously on Joanna’s side.
“Then let’s start the trial!”
“They’ve already been arrested. You need to go back to Violetlight City to take part in the trial.”
Joanna nodded at Nighthowl. Their contract made them understand each other without words.
Soon, starlight appeared as the Astral Step was activated.
Practice makes perfect.
This time, Joanna entered the courtroom smoothly.
Only a few hours had passed.
She ran into Wyatt again.
“Mr. Yarwood.”
“You haven’t rested yet, Joanna? I’m still questioning them. Do you want to ask anything? They’ve taken a truth serum, so they can only tell the truth now.”
They all looked nervous, especially Cedric. He caused the most trouble, but he was also the biggest coward.
He finally realized things weren’t going his way.
“Joanna, what are you doing? On what grounds are you arresting us? Just because we kicked you off the team? You’re suing us? If you keep this up, I’ll never forgive you! You can forget about ever being on my team again!”
Joanna felt it was ridiculous. She snorted and walked toward him.
She stopped three feet away.
Mack!
Boom!
id nothing, she just slapped him hard across the face.

The slap landed squarely on Cedric’s face. Joanna now had over 2,000 Strength-that’s basically the same power as an SSS-rank Berserker. On the entire Chromatic Star, it would be hard to find anyone her age with power like this.
The slap sent Cedric and his chair flying. He slammed into the wall, looking half-dead.
Luckily, Joanna was good at calculating on the fly. She knew Cedric’s stats and held back just enough so the slap didn’t actually kill him.
“I don’t care whether you forgive me. Is your forgiveness worth anything?”
Cedric’s face was swollen. He’d lost a few teeth, but that didn’t matter. With treatment, it could be fixed.
Joanna’s gaze shifted to Lucas.
“Lucas. You talk. You were the first one who hurt me. I just want the truth. What did I ever do to you to make you hurt me like that over and over again?
“Answer me!”
The shout startled Lucas. Only then did he realize how strong Joanna had become.
