The Battle Queen They Blindly Kicked Out (Joanna) novel Chapter 180

Chapter 180 Borrowed Power

Joanna sighed, feeling helpless.

“Nighthowl, Alwyn, are you okay? How do you feel right now?”

“We should be inside your soul,” Nighthowl replied. “Our bodies have turned into energy and merged with yours. I can lend you my control over space. With your current strength, you should be able to fight Maverick from Chromatic Star.”

Back then, Maverick had left a huge shadow in Nighthowl’s heart. The pup had been truly frightened.

Now, at last, he had caught up.

Joanna was surprised. She was this strong-strong enough to stand her ground against a Level 60 fighter.

Alwyn added calmly, “My genes can give you extreme defense. Your skin will turn gold. Even lava can’t melt it. You’ll also gain the ability to control fire.”

Joanna could copy these abilities using Power Siphon.

But using skills through her own body was completely different from using them through Nighthowl’s or Alwyn’s bodies.

Their original bodies had once been Transcendent beast. Their elemental affinity and raw strength were far beyond what an eighteen-year-old girl could naturally handle.

After all, the three of them were ancient beings, thousands of years old. They were only weaker now because they had been summoned.

Joanna tested her body carefully. She soon discovered a limit. This fused state could only last one hour. After that, the fusion would become unstable and fall

apart.

Even so, the sheer boost in combat power was terrifying.

Keeping that state active, Joanna used the Epic-tier upgrade stone for her skill that

she had bought. Then she added a Legendary-tier upgrade stone, pushing the skill all the way to Legendary-tier.

The result was shocking. Her combat power increased by 1,500%, and the duration extended to three hours.

This was far beyond what her level should allow.

If Lucas truly joined Bloodmoon and sent people after her … At the very least, she could escape or fight to the end when she ran into another Level 60 fighter.

After finishing her test, Joanna released the fusion.

Her communicator sensed that she had stopped training and began to beep.

A message came in. “Joanna, the elimination list is out. From our group of ten, only three are staying.”

It was from Katherine.

The three who remained in the program were, of course, Joanna, Ivan, and Katherine.

Everyone else was eliminated.

Katherine herself had been in danger too. But she arrived early and quickly found her path. She fought nonstop in the arena and even caught the attention of a professor.

That professor, however, was not as powerful as Helen and couldn’t approve a Mythic-tier talent upgrade stone.

Katherine made a bold choice. She had the professor help her negotiate, then signed a contract with the academy. She took out a 200-year student loan in exchange for the stone.

After graduation, she would have to repay five billion credits a year for 200 years. Her job assignments would also follow the academy’s orders.

Even so, Katherine received her stone earlier than Joanna. She was now an SSS- rank talent.

professor who believed in her could even offer her internal recommendations.

But the others weren’t so lucky.

Even Audrey-who had run dungeons with Nighthowl almost every day-was eliminated. The reason was simple. She failed a course.

Her points were high, but her combat strength wasn’t enough.

So, she was cut.

In one wave, 40,000 people were eliminated.

The entire program erupted in cries and complaints.

Another message came in. “Ivan organized a get-together. Everyone’s from the Star Domain Battle Group. We probably won’t have time later. Want to come?”

“I’ll come,” Joanna replied.

She wouldn’t refuse something like this.

Joanna went to the restaurant Ivan had booked.

When she arrived, everyone else was already there. When she walked in, several people smiled in relief and joy.
