Chapter 20 Scolding
Clear Time: 9 seconds
“What?!”
Maverick’s eyes went wide when he saw the nine-second record.

What kind of power could wipe out every dungeon monster, including that giant Fang Imp 1.2 miles away?
Is it a forbidden spell?
Something is seriously off!
“Joanna… I’ve never heard of her. Is she a newly awakened genius this year?”
The secretary immediately pulled up her file. If he couldn’t answer the minister’s questions, he wouldn’t be able to keep his position.
“Joanna is a Grade 12 student at Trinity High. She’s a summoner and has been on her team for three years, but never succeeded in summoning. This morning, she was kicked off the team and formed a new team called Shattered Dawn. The three new records we detected all came from her. We think she finally summoned a contract beast with huge potential.”
A stream of information appeared on the screen.
“All three records by her?”
Maverick quickly checked the other two.
Zombie Hospital Dungeon, Clear Time: 11 minutes 23 seconds.
Desolate Castle Dungeon, Clear Time: 39 minutes 12 seconds.
“Gasp!”
Next to those records were the previous best times.
Zombie Hospital’s fastest clear had been 11 minutes 42 seconds.
It was achieved by a team of Level-10 SSS-ranked players farming weaker content.
But no matter how fast monsters spawned, movement still took time-especially things like waiting for the boss to exit the elevator or opening the zombie director’s office.
Beating the record by just 19 seconds was still impressive.
As for Desolate Castle?
That dungeon had only been around for half a year. Guides weren’t complete, and the fastest clear had been 5 hours 21 minutes.
Joanna’s 39 minutes 12 seconds was blindingly eye-catching. Just crossing a castle that size would take

longer.
A regular summoner suddenly matching an SSS-ranked team?
There was only one possible explanation.
She got a ridiculously strong summoned beast.

“Good. Very good. Contact Trinity High’s principal immediately. Arrange scholarship funding for Joanna. More importantly, stabilize her-don’t let her transfer or get poached by other cities.”
The secretary’s expression turned anxious.
“That’s the problem. This morning, Joanna was kicked off the team. She got into a fight with her former teammates, and her homeroom teacher expelled her. Right now, she’s technically a non-student worker.”
If she weren’t a student, then even getting into a top university wouldn’t count as an achievement for the Department of Education.
Worse, if she made it into a prestigious university and spoke up about the injustice, higher-ups would start asking questions.
Maverick’s temper flared instantly. He roared, “How dare a mere homeroom teacher expel a student?! Who gave him the right? Does he want to die?!
“Call Trinity High’s principal right now!
“And where’s Joanna? I need to see her-no, I’ll go myself.”
Maverick stood up.
He couldn’t risk another city snatching her.
If anyone saw her dungeon-clear records…
He didn’t even want to imagine other cities’ Departments of Education fighting to recruit her.
The secretary gasped, catching up. “She should be at Dungeon Plaza right now, still inside a dungeon.”
“Let’s go!”
Maverick jumped onto his mount and raced straight to the dungeon entrance.
As Minister of Education, his strength was naturally terrifying. High-level professionals in the Space Alliance shone like blazing comets.
Why?
Because of their gear.
A Level-60 player wore at least a full Gold-tier set. Stronger ones had superior dark-gold gear.
The more advanced the equipment, the more detailed and polished it looked. As their stats went up, their bodies also grew more imposing. Compared to low-level players, they looked like towering giants.
