Chapter 21 Keep Waiting
Jacob dragged himself out of bed and rushed to Dungeon Plaza, making it to the teleport portal of Desolate Castle.
They already knew when Joanna went in and roughly how long it would take her to finish.
But they didn’t know when she’d come out. After all, dungeon runs involved looting resources.
By the time Jacob arrived, a poised, sharp-looking mature woman was already standing beside Maverick.
She was Chloe Quinn, the principal of Twinspire High.
Crap!
“Mr. Lopez, I’m here!” Jacob called out.
Chloe’s red lips curved as she chuckled. “No hurry, Mr. Watson. Since Trinity High already kicked Joanna out, she can always transfer to Twinspire High later.”
Not long after, a chubby man with a big belly walked over.
“Wow, everyone is here. Mr. Lopez, a student this talented should come to Genesis High. We can give her a full protection team-way better than those Trinity High students who dumped her.”
That was Andrew Cooper, the principal of Genesis High.
Jacob felt like someone had shredded his pride and stomped on it.
Around them, whispers and chatter got louder.
“Who are they even waiting for?”
“Are we still going into the dungeon?”
“You can run dungeons anytime, but this kind of scene doesn’t happen every day!”
“That’s true.”
Under all that attention, just after 2 a.m., Joanna finally emerged from the dungeon with a smile.
Maverick touched his Gold-tier gear and stepped forward to talk to her.
But Joanna shifted her gaze toward Desolate Castle, and in a blink, she disappeared again.
She went back in?
Maverick was stunned.
No prep at all?
She just went straight back in?

Chapter 21 Keep Waiting
Some teachers hadn’t even gotten a good look at her face yet.
“This is bad!” Maverick’s heart skipped a beat.
Two hours was fine. But if she took another two hours, word might spread to other cities.
Sure enough, what he feared came true.
Soon, someone in high-end gear-way too strong for a Level 10 dungeon-approached.
The Minister of Education of Bluelight City arrived, along with his Genesis High principal.
After that, it was like a chain reaction.
Ministers and principals from other cities showed up one after another.
The top three cities didn’t send ministers, but their principals all came.
Maverick grew anxious and angry, glaring at Jacob and dumping all his anger on him.
Two hours later, there were 20 big shots gathered at the dungeon entrance.
At that moment, the dungeon light flashed.
Joanna stepped out again.

Finished
This time, Maverick deliberately didn’t call out to her. As expected, she merely shifted her direction slightly and vanished once more.
She was back to dungeon grinding.
“Heh. Enjoy wasting two hours,” Maverick murmured with a smirk.
Others looked confused. Many didn’t even know who Joanna was. With so many big names around, they assumed they had no chance and left.
That narrowed the competition.
In the end, just over ten people stayed.
The minister from Bluelight City was still there.
Several principals nearby exchanged meaningful looks with Bluelight City’s minister, secretly communicating with him through their devices.
“Judging by Mr. Lopez, he’s not letting this talent slip. Should we wait?”
“Of course. Why not?
“This might be a summoner with a Mythic beast. Her future potential is huge. More importantly, we didn’t train her before, and after this, we’d only need to train her for one month.
“Maverick definitely won’t let her go, so let’s make him pay.
