Chapter 202 Relive the Betrayal
Fern typed, “They’re trying to hurt students from the Training Program. We don’t know which student they caught. If we get clues and rescue the student, the academy would owe us a favor. Maybe they’ll even let us enter the academy vault and pick a few good items.”
Joanna was speechless.
Rowan chimed in, “Funny thing-the person they’re targeting is also named Joanna. Same name as our Summoner!”
Riley said, “Just a coincidence, right? So when do we fight? I can hold off those four young guys. But that woman, she looks dangerous. I can’t handle her for sure.”
Fern urged, “Keep watching. This is all a cutscene. We have to wait until the Petrify skill shows up. Otherwise, we can’t get close to the truth.”
Fiona replied, “Got it!”
Rowan asked, “Hey, little Summoner, why so quiet?”
Joanna finally spoke up, “Keep watching. You’ll understand soon.”
Joanna already knew what had happened, but only from her side.
She never expected Bloodmoon’s side to look like this. Or rather, she never expected them to have this conversation.
Lucas, Bruce, Cedric, and Neil. They hurt her and went to prison for three months. That was the price for their mistakes.
But they never regretted it. After Bloodmoon took them away, they joined the group almost immediately. They became future candidates for saints and worked with a woman named Viola to harm her again.
Joanna didn’t know how to feel.
Being betrayed by people she once helped wasn’t new to her.
Thinking back, during the mediation at the trial, they even said they liked her. That thought made her sick.
Worse than that, they wanted to turn her into a follower of the God of Lust and Reproduction. They wanted her to live only for pleasure and childbirth. Like livestock.
That crossed Joanna’s limit.

She didn’t fight her way this far just to have children.
She wanted to reach the top. To become a god. Surpass gods. To step on them if she had to.
To Joanna, those men were enemies blocking her path. Unforgivable.
She had already heard about this place from the rescued elite students.
But seeing the truth again made her anger burn even hotter.
Soon after Kayden was sacrificed, the others saw things from David and Irene’s point of view. Inside the dungeon, they finally saw Joanna.
At that time, Joanna sat on the Crimson Throne. She wore a bloodstained gown, covered by a black cloak.
Nighthowl, Alwyn, and Lucien all wore black cloaks.
The scene appeared clearly in the hall through a blood illusion.
Hidden in the darkness, Fern and the others stared in shock. At last, their hesitant gazes slowly turned toward Joanna.
Holy shit! This couldn’t be another coincidence, right?
Along the way, Joanna’s contract beasts had used skills. Even the skills matched.
Joanna sighed. Alright. No more pretending.
Joanna wrote, “Yeah, the person they’re targeting is me.”
The four of them froze in shock.
Fern typed, “Y-you’re a student from the academy? Why didn’t you say so earlier?! We thought you were just someone unlucky. Turns out you’re a top-tier elite!”
Fern himself had an SSS-rank talent. Years ago, he placed only 23rd in the Star Domain Battle and failed to enter the Training Program. It had been his greatest regret. He often heard former classmates talk about the Training Program-the real gathering place of elites, full of monsters in human form.
Now that he saw Joanna, it all made sense.
On the way here, Fern had already started seeing her differently. She was only level 25, but her damage output was higher than Rowan’s, and he was a mage. She could cast healing spells. One of her shield-bearing contract beasts tanked better than Riley.

She was an all-rounder warrior.
Fern even had a feeling Joanna was still holding something back.
Now he knew his instincts were right.
