Chapter 211 The Weight of Power
It was all her fault. She had been born in the wrong place. Born weak, without a chance.
Rage burned through her. She was just about to kill Joanna when Joanna’s voice rang out in the middle of the fight.
“Oh! You just reminded me of something,” Joanna said calmly. “I’m a Summoner.”
The moment the words left her mouth, Joanna activated her offensive skill.
Lash Purgatory!
In an instant, Viola was dragged into a sealed domain. She was bound to a cross. Around her, a massive crowd appeared-so many people that there was no space left.
They climbed over each other, stacking higher and higher, forming a living tower that completely swallowed her.
Countless long whips lashed down on Viola.
“Illusion? A soul skill?” Viola muttered.
She stayed unnervingly calm. As the whips struck her body, her flesh suddenly turned to stone.
Petrification modifier!
As the Evil God’s saintess, it was impossible for her not to have an ability like this. Petrified could be used on enemies or on herself. When used this way, her body became harder than rock.
The vengeful spirits whipped her again and again, yet she felt no pain at all. Even more shocking, the spirits began to collapse, one by one.
This wasn’t just because her mental strength rivaled Joanna’s. It was because Viola felt no guilt. She didn’t even realize those figures were people she had once killed.
Her personality was already twisted beyond normal judgment. Ordinary morals no longer applied to her.
Inside Lash Purgatory, ten minutes passed.
Outside, only 0.13 seconds went by.
Joanna’s weapon came down hard, slashing toward Viola’s head.

At that exact moment, Viola woke up. She raised both hands and caught Joanna’s sword barehanded. Molten heat flowed along her arms. Her stone-like hands clamped down on the blade-and with a sharp crack, shattered it.
A long saber swept sideways.
Joanna was cut across the abdomen and sent flying. She crashed back and spat out a mouthful of blood.
Viola was far too strong.
“Vince! What are you doing? Help me!” Joanna shouted.
“On it!”
Vince hadn’t been holding back earlier. He simply knew the truth, Joanna and Viola were fighting on a level far beyond him. It was like watching two masters clash at the peak of skill. Someone like him would only get in the way.
But now Viola had forced Joanna back.
The gap in levels was just too large.
This was pure
tier suppression.
Vince immediately transformed into a giant bear. With a thunderous roar, he slammed straight into Viola.
No technique. Just brute force.
Joanna quickly cast Lunar Aegis to heal herself. Then she joined the other bounty hunters and turned toward Lucas and his group.
Lucas had been empowered by the Evil God. He was much stronger than before. Still, compared to Joanna, he was nowhere close.
Joanna’s Spatial Blade tore through them, leaving deep wounds that refused to heal. Every strike caused bursts of purple, red, orange, and green light to erupt from their bodies.
Those were attribute points.
This wasn’t only because Joanna had gained the Plunder. It was also because those attribute points had been forcefully added to them. They hadn’t fully merged with their own power yet. Under real combat pressure, they were stripped away.
In less than three minutes, Joanna was the first to kill Neil.

At least, it seemed like he had died. Neil’s body on the ground suddenly twitched. A rift opened from the top of his head. His skin dried and peeled away rapidly, like shedding a layer.
Like a snake shedding its skin.
This was a survival skill granted after sacrificing to the Evil God.
But it couldn’t be used twice in a short time. Which meant Neil was now truly in danger.
“Viola, save me!” Neil screamed, panic flooding his voice.
