Chapter 247 Credit Limits
“But since you absorb energy and turn it into your own stats, once you’re injured, it’s hard to heal.
“I need to learn an ability that can heal you.”
Troy’s amber eyes turned toward Joanna, and a warm feeling quietly rose in his chest.
He wasn’t sure what that feeling was.
In his memory, he had always been someone others avoided, because he suppressed all surrounding energy fluctuations, whether physical strength or spirit.
No one had ever been able to comfort him.
Now she was sitting beside him, and as she stared into space, her body slowly drifted closer, until she leaned against him.
Little by little, her head even came to rest on his thigh.
He took a deep breath and relaxed his legs, careful not to let his rigid body make her uncomfortable.
Joanna lay back on the couch, her head resting on Troy’s leg, then casually pulled out some fruit from her storage space and stuffed it into his hand.
“Eat. And feed me some too.”
So this is how tyrants live?
Sweet!
Joanna munched on fruit fed to her by a handsome guy while flipping through the academy’s skill database.
After filtering through multiple options, she locked onto an Epic-tier skill.
“Soul Storm (Epic-tier)”
A true forbidden spell.
A universal skill that any caster class could choose.
It required 10,000 Spirit to learn, and the stronger the Spirit, the harder it hits.

When advancing this Epic-tier skill to Legendary-tier, Joanna could split it into two development paths, one focused on healing, the other on disrupting enemies.
It was also a large-scale, sustained damage ability, and it paired perfectly with the modifier Joanna had just obtained, “Dream Invasion.”
Joanna spent 500 credits and redeemed the skill.
She then spent another 3,000 points to buy a skill upgrade stone, which was 2,000 points more expensive than a talent upgrade stone.
She also checked the queue page for the Mythic-level skill upgrade stone, and when she saw it still hadn’t been approved, she frowned.
But soon, her brow relaxed again.
Divine and Demonic Academy already had great resources.
At an ordinary academy, Epic-tier skill books like this would never be released. Professionals would have to beg with tens of billions in funds, and even then, they might not get one.
And just after Joanna checked the queue status, Laurence also saw her inquiry on his end.
That immediately made him restless.
He went ahead and tried to add Joanna as a friend.
But Joanna already had millions of online followers. Across Chromatic Star and throughout the star regions of the hundred connected dimensions, she was a public figure.
There were always people with no sense of boundaries trying to add her, and she had long since closed her friend requests.
When Laurence saw the rejected friend request, his face darkened. Still, it was understandable, so he had the advisor reach out instead.
Alex wrote to Joanna, “Professor Weaver has something to discuss with you. Please add him as a friend.”
Alex also forwarded her the contact.
Only then did Joanna add Laurence.
Laurence then texted, “Joanna, I saw that you applied for a Mythic-level skill upgrade stone. I’ve approved it. You can proceed with the exchange.”
Joanna hadn’t expected such a pleasant surprise.

But then another issue came up.
“Professor Weaver, I don’t have enough points right now. I already spent them earlier. Could you give me a few days, maybe about a week?”
“No problem. Just exchange it directly. Credits are allowed to go into the negatives. Just pay them back later.”
Wait, you can do that?
“Alright, thank you for the reminder, Professor Weaver.”
Joanna immediately exchanged for the SSS-rank skill upgrade stone.
Her credit balance instantly changed.
“Freshman Year, First Semester Credits: 19,276.
“Available Credits: -14,224. (Negative credits are based on your total historical credit limit. Current limit: 50,667).”
