The Battle Queen They Blindly Kicked Out (Joanna) novel Chapter 27

Chapter 27 Glacial Rift

“Ah!” Rhoda let out an excited squeal.

“I know this dungeon-Glacial Rift. I cleared it once. First, we need to find a dog. The dog will guide us into the rift to fight the monsters. Once we rescue someone, the dungeon is done.”

Lucas and the others brightened up.

Staring at the endless stretch of ice, they’d been feeling lost. Rhoda’s words gave their spirits a boost.

“Where do we find the dog?” Cedric asked quickly.

Rhoda froze. “Well, last time, our assassin spotted it. We just need scouts to go ahead and bring it back. Bruce, that’s you.”

Bruce broke out in sweat.

He glanced at Lucas for help and even searched for that gentle figure, but she was gone.

They really expected him to explore on his own?

Just then, Neil said, “Let’s split into pairs to search. This place is huge. We won’t find anything otherwise. Lucas, you go with Cedric. Bruce, you’re with me. Rhoda, you’re a swordswoman-you’ve got good survivability and high mobility. Can you cover a section alone?”

After Joanna left, Neil had naturally taken over command of the team.

Rhoda finally nodded. There shouldn’t be any danger anyway. Splitting up was fine.

Meanwhile, a full girls’ team burst into cheers.

They were Roseflare-Rhoda’s former team.

After Rhoda quit, they had planned to invite Joanna to join them, but Joanna had been expelled yesterday. That left them stuck with only four members.

Still, since they’d cleared this dungeon before, they felt confident.

“It’s Glacial Rift! We’ve done this one. The supplies should still be there. Use 20 thermal patches per person. Put on the snow boots!”

“Confirm the stellar position first.”

“Estimated stellar angle is 145. Dungeon time is 9:00 a.m. The storm hits at 11:00 a.m. We have two hours. Move fast!”

“Mountain coordinates confirmed.”

“Let’s go. Watch for cracks and traps.”

Chapter 27 Glacial Rift

“We’re so lucky. Maybe we’ll make the top ten this run!”

“Yeah! Big villa, here we come-let’s go!”

At the same time, Joanna and Nighthowl entered the dungeon.

A freezing wind whipped past.

Fine snow was blown up and landed on Joanna’s exposed ankles.

Nighthowl’s fur grew thicker instantly, shielding her from the cold.

“No worries. With my vitality, I can handle a light cold.”

Last night, Joanna gained 35 more affinity points. She’d soothed Nighthowl three times and received feedback each time. Her base vitality was now 83, and with gear bonuses, it reached 152.

“Let’s see… I think I grabbed a tiger pelt from Desolate Castle and didn’t sell it.”

Desolate Castle had plenty of loot, and dungeon runs refreshed resources differently. Tiger pelts were one example.

In the Space Alliance, tigers weren’t super rare. Common-tier pelts went for about 500 Starcoins.

But Joanna’s memories made it feel rare, so she’d kept it in Stellar Dominion.

Now she pulled it out and wrapped it around herself.

With her safety secured, she scanned her surroundings.

An endless snowfield stretched before her. Mountains rose in the distance-probably dozens of miles away. Joanna frowned slightly.

She had never cleared this dungeon before.

Still, she stayed calm, quickly analyzing the scene.

With Nighthowl at her side, she felt like she had a new teammate. Without thinking, she spoke her thoughts out loud.

“No monsters around … or they’re hiding under the snow.

“The dungeon is called Glacial Rift, but we’re on a snowfield. The rift should be in the mountain or underground.

“If there are no enemies at the start, then this is probably an exploration-type dungeon. We need to find clues before we can enter it.

“But this area is a high-space zone. Maybe we can cheat a little.”
