The Battle Queen They Blindly Kicked Out

Chapter 28 Clear the Dungeon

In a flash, the two of them blinked to the entrance of the rift.

At the same moment, the external dungeon progress board updated, and the Shattered Dawn team. suddenly shot to first place.

Dungeon Completion: 20%

Time Used: 3 minutes 23 seconds.

Inside the evaluation room, Jacob was leading more than 20 homeroom teachers as they reviewed the teams’ data. –

The largest virtual projection showed the feeds from Joanna’s team and Lucas’s team.

Lucas and the others were still searching across the icy plains.

Joanna, meanwhile, had already entered the rift.

“Wow. Joanna’s summoned beast is insanely strong. It already has two skills-one for scouting and one for long-range teleport.”

“That contract has to be with a Mythic beast.”

“Joanna finally lives up to her S-rank talent.”

“But she skipped rescuing the snowfield hound. Once inside the rift, that route leads straight into dense monster zones. That’s risky. She’s just a summoner, and her summoned beast is only Level 4. Its abilities don’t seem to be offensive skills either. It’s hard to tell how strong her combat power really is.”

“Exactly. In terms of raw combat strength, she can’t compare to her original team. Lucas has Undying Netherform (S-rank), Cedric has Skyburn Inferno (S-rank), Bruce has Lord of Shadows (S-rank), Neil has Sanctified Light’s Blessing (S-rank), and even Rhoda has Skyward Sword (S-rank). That’s Trinity High’s strongest lineup. Once they find the snowfield hound, clearing the dungeon should be smooth.”

“Yeah. The outcome is still uncertain. Taking a shortcut doesn’t mean she can keep it up.”

Inside the Glacial Rift, Joanna slid down from Nighthowl’s back.

She didn’t summon the Crimson Throne, though. School assessment dungeons were fully recorded, after all.

She didn’t want to reveal too many of her trump cards.

As for Nighthowl’s skills, as long as she didn’t expose him as Transcendent, it would be fine.

Once inside, she noticed something right away.

“No wonder the basic clear time is 20 hours,” Joanna said. “It’s a maze-type dungeon.”

She examined the ice carefully, then stopped at a fork.

A faint smear of blood stained the ground.

“Human blood,” Joanna said.

Nighthowl stepped forward, sniffed it, and nodded.

It was indeed human blood.

She fell into thought.

If there were injured humans inside, then it was likely a rescue-type dungeon.

Every clue mattered.

And since it was a maze, that person was probably an NPC tied to the storyline.

“Can you track him? Let’s follow him,” she said.

Nighthowl nodded again.

That was easy.

Since becoming a wolf, his sense of smell had sharpened a lot. Blood stood out clearly.

Wait-why am I thinking “becoming a wolf”? I’m already one.

As that thought crossed his mind, Joanna caught up. Nighthowl dropped the distraction and moved ahead.

He needed to make sure there were no monsters ahead.

“Oh, right,” Joanna added. “Try not to use sound-based skills. It might cause an avalanche. If the rift gets buried and oxygen drops, the dungeon survival time will decrease. We could still clear it, but we’d lose loot and intel.”

“Got it,” Nighthowl replied.

In the monitoring room, several teachers couldn’t help but exclaim.

“Right. Joanna’s summoned beast is a canine. It can track blood.”

“But her observation skills are impressive. She noticed the blood first.”

“She’s already saved two hours compared to everyone else. If her damage output holds up, she could finish within ten hours and hit 160 points.”

That score would qualify her to represent the planet in the cross-stellar trial.

Violetlight City hadn’t seen someone reach that level in over ten years.

Those two hours were absolutely critical.
