Chapter 306 Breaking the Revival Loop
Neil understood in an instant.
Helen was the one who had killed the Evil God. She was also a Summoner and a member of the Academy.
And she gave something this valuable to Joanna.
Why? Why her?
Back in high school, almost every teacher favored Joanna. When Joanna was kicked out of the team, Drake was fired. Then the new homeroom teacher took special care of Joanna.
Neil had tried too. He wanted to learn from the Strategy Group, so he went to Noelle and asked for a few strategy points.
Noelle rejected him.
“Joanna joined the Strategy Group early. Joining now might not be the best use of your time. Focus on training. Don’t spread your effort too thin.”
Jacob didn’t support them either.
He treated Joanna well. Even Maverick had treated her well.
And now, at the Academy, she was still lucky enough to have a powerful professor.
All the best resources went to her. Every single one.
Neil laughed bitterly. “Why do you deserve this? You’re such a strong Summoner. Why would they give something like this to you?”
He sneered. “Haha. I get it now. It’s that Affinity Talent of yours. You’re good at taking things from other people. That’s how you stayed on the team back then, wasn’t it? You’re just lucky. If I had that talent-
Joanna cut him off, her eyes cold and impatient. “Enough nonsense. The Evil God’s mark on my head. Was that your doing? What Evil God are you worshiping? You’d better tell the truth. Otherwise, I don’t mind teaching you a lesson.”
Neil scoffed. “What kind of lesson could you give me?”
Joanna replied calmly, her voice flat. “Nothing much. I could soak you in a sewage tank and give you a long bath. Or I could stuff your mouth with shits-

“Wait!” Neil’s face twisted in fear. “I’ll talk! I’ll tell you everything!”
He swallowed hard.
“We don’t actually know the Evil God’s true name. It can’t be spoken. All we know is that it’s a Fire-type Evil God, stronger than the last Petrification Evil God.”
Joanna pressed on. “You signed a contract with it too? You can revive after death?”
“Yes.”
Joanna pressed, “After this attack, where were you planning to go?”
“Back to the Evil God’s inner space. This Fire Evil God is different. It doesn’t need attribute sacrifices. It needs fuel. Things like magma stones.” Neil spilled everything.
Joanna asked more questions.
He answered every single one.
The more he spoke, the more relaxed he became. Soon, he felt like he could say anything.
As for selling out Vincent and the others?
So what?
Joanna couldn’t defeat Vincent anyway. These intels would only make her afraid of Vincent’s strength.
Neil felt completely safe.
He even smiled and added, “Joanna, I’ve always treated you well. I’ve given you so much intel. How about you forgive me? Testify for me. Say I was forced into worshiping the Evil God. I want to go back to the Space Alliance and live a normal life. Those cultists are disgusting. They stink.”
They were hunted everywhere, lived like rats, and had no hygiene at all. Neil couldn’t stand it.
Joanna let out a soft scoff through her nose. Her gaze was lazy, almost bored. But her next words sent a chill straight down Neil’s spine.
“You don’t seem afraid that I might kill you. Right. You think the Evil God will revive you. But have you ever thought about this? If your soul is erased, do you think you can be revived?”
Neil was infuriated.
“Joanna, what are you doing? You let Cedric go! That guy did worse things than I did! Why

won’t you let me go?”
What made him furious wasn’t that Joanna wanted to kill him. He couldn’t accept being treated as worse than Cedric,
Joanna answered calmly. “When I spared Cedric, I didn’t have the power to kill all of you for good.”
Back then, Joanna hadn’t killed Cedric because she feared he would revive inside the Evil God’s inner
space.
But after Helen returned, a massive battle broke out with the Public Dungeon Department and the Strategy Dungeon Department’s head. Helen killed them again and again.
After the victory, Helen exchanged notes with her student.
Joanna took the chance to ask her questions.
Joshua and Alonzo were hard to kill. They kept reviving. Was there a way to bypass the revival system and kill them permanently?
If someone was a cultist, was there a way to kill them without triggering revival?
The answer was yes.
It depended on the revival mechanism.
The first type was Time-based Revival.
That was the method Joshua and Alonzo used. They had saved their attribute data inside the Space Alliance system. After death, the system pulled them back from the past timeline. They revived as Level 93, 92, or 91 professionals, with memories automatically restored.
To kill them permanently, you had to do one thing: kill their past versions.
Once the past was erased, they were gone for good. There was nothing they could do.
Time Laws were involved. Only Mythic-tier professionals could control that level of power. Not something you could get from random dropped modifiers.
