Chapter 453 Discussion
Joanna cut the conversation short.
“But Fallen Star won’t survive, not even from five light-years away.”

“That’s true,” came the reply. “That’s why everyone on Fallen Star will need to evacuate, take shelter, or abandon the planet for now. The Goddess of Radiance will compensate them, and she promised that, no matter what, you’ll receive a 1% modifier-even if you don’t participate.”
“That includes the twelve divine children too?”
“Yes, it includes them.”
Joanna sank into thought.
This was an open offer, but the benefits were immense.
Skelefreak once led a thousand-strong raid with a single Mythic-tier and got 1%. Now, for joining thirteen Mythic-tiers, Joanna stood to gain 13%.
“I’ll need to consider it,” Joanna said.
“No rush. The Goddess of Radiance is still making preparations, but I’ll need your answer within three months,” Saul told her.
“Understood.”
As soon as she finished talking with Saul, Joanna summoned all her contracted partners.
Xavier, the sharpest among them, was the first to arrive.
He could even use his abilities to peer into the future, though it cost him dearly.
Now, Joanna possessed the Power Bestowal skill.
She simply shared her Body of Enlightenment (SSS) with them all.
Instantly, every partner fell into deep contemplation.
Lucien was the first to speak, his voice full of wonder. “I feel my mind expanding already.”
As the enlightenment flowed through them, each person began to find their own insights. To everyone’s surprise, it was Troy-normally silent-who spoke up first.
“Let’s put aside whether the Goddess of Radiance is setting a trap,” Troy said. “Paying I for

using the battleground is just compensation. She probably assumes we can’t outperform the twelve divine spirits or earn a larger share.”
“Every fight so far, we’ve surpassed what’s expected for human Mythic-tiers.
“Nyssara is a horrifying evil god, but I’m uniquely suited to counter her.”
Nyssara could produce offspring. She could even force those present to give birth.
But Troy had the power to lock that ability away.
Xavier, for once, didn’t try to see the future; just pondering the strategy was exhausting enough, and he munched on fruit to keep his mind sharp.
“We have the strength for the battle, but rewards aren’t just about power,” Xavier mused. “There’s also something called class protection.”
It was a technical term from raids. If a warrior’s gear dropped, it went to the warrior first, even if a mage dealt the most damage.
The Goddess of Radiance had her eye on the fertility and regeneration modifiers.
Naturally, the other gods would give those modifiers to her first.
That meant Joanna’s side could lose those authorities entirely.
Lucien suddenly slapped his forehead.
“We need someone who can claim the fertility authority! Why not just contract one?”
“Lucien, you’re brilliant!” Benjamin’s soft pink eyes sparkled with admiration.
Benjamin always excelled at making people feel appreciated.
But Lucien’s point was solid.
Did such a being even exist?
Joanna’s mind went straight to seahorses.
“Let’s screen for seahorses-or maybe we shouldn’t worry about gender at all.” Who said you had to contract a romantic partner?
Men or women, it made no difference.
The Interstellar Alliance even had female sentinels.

Soon, they found several seahorse spirit forms. But their primary talents were water-based, overlapping with Caspian’s skills.
Joanna analyzed the situation calmly. “For now, I only want to contract ten partners. The elements I’m missing are earth, lightning, and ice. It’s best to look for those three.”
Nighthowl and the others immediately turned their attention to her.
They all knew the system didn’t cap at level 100. Joanna could contract far more than ten partners if she wished.
She could even use summoning contracts, call forth cannon fodder, and command a thousand or ten thousand sentinels.
But she was determined to stop at ten.
For Nighthowl and the others, this was wonderful news.
The fewer the partners, the more time each could spend with Joanna. Everyone wanted more of her attention..
Still, none could change her mind-they could only wait their turn.
“Why only ten?” Nighthowl finally asked.
“Because the Immortal Seed can only be shared with ten contracted mates,” Joanna answered, meeting each gaze.
“I want all of you by my side. I don’t want any of you to fade with time because your lives are too short.”
In the interstellar universe, sentinels rarely enjoyed long lives.
Without a Guide, a sentinel often didn’t make it past thirty.
Even with a Guide, that fragile body might last two hundred years, but when the Guide died, the sentinel nearly always followed.
Tragic love stories were all too common among the stars.
But in the Space Alliance, Joanna would live for cons.
She wanted her partners to share that longevity.
Nighthowl and the others fell silent, a rare softness lighting their eyes.
“I really am lucky to be your first contract,” Nighthowl said quietly. “Immortality may last
