The Battle Queen They Blindly Kicked Out (Joanna) novel Chapter 485

Chapter 485 Frozen Assets

Joanna paused. “Well… consider it bad luck?”

The Madness Spaceship erupted.

Finished

“Stop wasting time talking to her. She’s clearly a powerful Summoner, probably trained in charm skills. Affinity is basically the standard curriculum for Summoners now. Bring her in and put her to work.”

“Boss is right. That ship doesn’t even have weapons.”

“Watch out for the Ice Phoenix though.”

“Relax. If she were actually Joanna, we’d already be dead. The strongest Summoner around right now is her teacher. Voice that young? She’s a junior professional at best. The Ice Phoenix just got contracted at a low level. What’s it going to do?”

The smile on Joanna’s face got colder with every word.

These people weren’t just reckless. They were genuinely dangerous.

She’d been willing to let the whole thing go before. She wasn’t anymore.

Her contracted companions weren’t either. The killing intent in the cabin was thick enough to feel.

Joanna, are we doing this?” Nighthowl asked.

Xavier’s voice was flat and precise. “A few of them exited the ship earlier. Facial recognition confirms they’re interstellar pirates. They’ve concealed their identities since the Space Alliance and Interstellar Universe merged, so technically they haven’t violated Space Alliance law.”

Which meant only Interstellar Alliance jurisdiction applied to their old crimes, and the Interstellar Alliance’s enforcement capacity was weak at best. Half the pirates operating in open space had Alliance executives backing them from the shadows.

“We’re not rehashing old crimes under old laws,” Joanna said. “Don’t kill them. Round them all up and hand them to the Tribunal. The charges can be verbal assault against a superior and threatening a prodigy

Leon spoke up beside her, his tone carrying the same temperature as his eyes. “Let me handle it I started this mess, and my abilities are better suited for capture anyway.”

He raised one hand toward the distant ship.

The cold came instantly, spreading outward in a wave, and the entire Madness Spaceship turned to he Every corridor, every cabin, every crew member, locked solid. Not one of them got out.

When the sentinels thawed, they went straight to trial.

Between the charges Joanna filed and the evidence the Interstellar Alliance supplied, every member of the crew received a 900 year mining sentence. For interstellar sentinels without Space Alliance resources behind them, that was effectively a life sentence and then some.

finished

Joanna also used the moment to push through the Twisted Sentinel Rescue Initiative, cutting off the loophole that let bad actors position themselves as reluctant saviors and collect favors from newly awakened sentinels. She’d developed Affinity Perfume to help people. She wasn’t about to let it become a tool for exploitation.

With that wrapped up, she turned the Peace Spaceship back toward the Deadwhisper Continent.

She’d been quietly taking stock of her own strength during the downtime. Her base attributes had reached 16 million. Symbiotic Fusion with Nighthowl and the others added another 65 million.

The Godslayer title, now at 20 confirmed god kills, contributed 20 million more. And with ten companions’ worth of equipment layered together, her combined attribute total climbed to 200 million.

Three hundred million total. She’d crossed into genuine divine-tier combat power without quite announcing it.

Finding a counter to Soul Burn had also gone a long way toward steadying her confidence. She felt ready.

joanna arrived at the border of Mortis’s domain and shifted into giant squirrel form. She started gnawing.

The familiar rhythm of it was almost soothing. Crunch, crunch, crunch. A wide opening tore through the boundary, and the world beyond spilled out, dense with dark mist.

Benjamin’s voice came through their shared link. “Joanna, this God of Death has been busy restocking. Everything we took last time has already grown back. The death aura in here is just as thick as before.”

Then we absorb it again.”

She activated her Blackhole Physique and pulled every trace of black mist into herself. Then she started a thorough sweep of the death domain. She’d left things behind on the last visit. She wasn’t planning to repeat the mistake.

She didn’t get far before Mortis came storming out of his temple.

He saw the squirrel.

‘You wretched creature! You’re dead!”

He unleashed Soul Burn, intent on incinerating the giant squirrel.

But the Soul Burn that had once devastated Joanna now swirled around her without causing her a single flicker of pain. She had immuned.

“Now it’s my turn, Mortis!

Joanna shifted out of her giant squirrel form.

Ice-blue hair, long and loose, Leon’s signature.

Silver eyes, sharp as Nighthowl’s.

Gold-tinted skin borrowed from Alwyn.
