When Joanna arrived at the dungeon, she was surprised to see that the crowd at the entrance had more than doubled compared to yesterday.
“Anyone here got a Pocket Orchard? Passion Group is hiring-ten million a year!”
“That guide from the big shot is insane. This dungeon’s famous now.”
“Selling Bronze-tier seeds! Selling Bronze-tier fruit!”
So it was because of her post.
Joanna smiled softly and stepped into the dungeon to start grinding monsters again.
With battles breaking out on three fronts at once, her affinity points rose much faster than she had expected.
In one day, Joanna only cleared Fruit vs. Zombies once.
Her attack power was weaker than Nighthowl’s, so to stay safe, she chose only a five-times speed boost. Even so, she gained 1,000 affinity points.
Meanwhile, Nighthowl and Alwyn each killed five million monsters.
That alone increased Joanna’s affinity by 10,000 points.
When her affinity points reached 10,000, a loud buzzing filled her head.
“System Alert: Your affinity points have reached 10,000. You have awakened an additional skill. This skill does not take up a professional skill slot.
“You have learned Charm (Gold-tier): The higher your affinity points, the stronger your charm effect. Charmed targets will submit and comply with both demands and requests.
“Note: Charm strength increases automatically as affinity points rise.”
An incredibly powerful control skill.
More importantly, it was an extra skill.
After switching to a combat class, a professional could normally learn up to five class skills, with one extra skill unlocked every 30 levels.
Kayden had learned only four skills because his family planned to buy him a Diamond-tier skill book above Dark Gold-tier. In the end, he filled his skill slots too early.

That arena challenge completely ruined Kayden.
Joanna, on the other hand, chose every skill with extreme care.
Spirit Lash, Symbiotic Link, and Power Siphon all served very specific purposes. She still had two empty skill slots.
No matter what, she planned to save them for Diamond-tier skills.
Epic-tier skills were out of the question. They got you killed the moment you stepped outside. They were not something she could even consider.
Lower-tier skills, however, could be upgraded under special conditions-like getting a dungeon’s first clear or using a skill upgrade stone. Truly powerful mythic-level players could even raise low-tier skills all the way to mythic level.
Extra skills were even rarer.
That meant she would always have one more hidden card than everyone else in the late game.
“So that’s what affinity points are really for,” Joanna muttered. “I was so cautious before that I completely missed this.”
If not for that, even farming the Fang Imp, Dungeon for three years would have pushed her 10,000 affinity points.
In the end, it was just bad luck. Every summon she tried had failed.
What Joanna didn’t know was that those failures were never her fault to begin with.
Late at night, Villa One was brightly lit.
After grinding dungeons all day, Joanna finally returned.

She now had over 10,000 affinity points. As her contracted companions, Nighthowl and Alwyn watched her closely, their eyes shining with anticipation.
She immediately reached out and gently patted Nighthowl’s head, releasing her affinity points.
“You have comforted Nighthowl. He sincerely thanks you. You receive a gift from your contracted companion: Vitality +10, Strength +20, Agility +20, and Spirit +30.”
Then she turned to Alwyn. “You have comforted Alwyn. He sincerely thanks you. You receive a gift from your contracted companion: Vitality +40, Strength +20, Agility +20, and Spirit +30.”
Left hand, right hand.

She spent 2,000 affinity points in total.
Joanna’s attributes surged again-Vitality +500, Strength +400, Agility +400, and Spirit +600.
On top of that, she had leveled up today.
She added all five free attribute points into Spirit.
