The first hour of the SAT was enough to lock in Joanna’s place as the top scorer. Her name and her connection to the Wrights instantly became the center of every discussion.
Maverick
gave his orders at once.
“Bring David and Irene in for questioning. Don’t let them slip away. The moment Kayden comes out, arrest him. Move. We’re heading to Trinity High to welcome our top scorer.”
Even though the dungeon still had nine hours left, Maverick didn’t want to watch anymore.
When the nine hours ended, they would welcome Joanna.
Time passed quickly.
In the blink of an eye, it was already the fourth hour of the SAT.
Inside the dungeon, the Dawnbreaker had cleared all the monsters.
This time, they went all out. Their speed was much faster.
The battlefield was nothing like the Desolate Castle. There were no winding paths, no backtracking-just a wide, open plain.
Clearing everything within five hours made them confident.
As long as they killed the boss, they were sure they could get into Prismbridge University.
“All clear,” Lucas said. “That stops the boss from summoning reinforcements to surround us. There are only two bosses left now. Which one should we attack first?”
Neil, the only one in the team who liked to think things through, became the temporary commander.
After a short pause, he made his choice.

“The Blue Armor General can use frost spells. Cedric’s fire spells counter him. We’ll take that one first.”
“Alright!” Everyone agreed.
They moved out.
Just like before, they missed out on the dungeon guide.
But compared to Ivan, Lucas was far behind.
Even though Lucas had an S-rank defense talent, the Blue Armor General’s attacks were terrifying. He staggered back in panic.
“Something’s wrong. Why does it hurt this much?”
“Help me, Neil!”
Neil turned pale. He threw out every skill he had, but it wasn’t enough.
Flash!
A white light burst out.
Lucas was killed in one hit.
Luckily, the SAT dungeon had a human protection rule. If a player took fatal damage, they would be teleported out.
Lucas was gone. The others screamed and ran. Rhoda, who fought at close range, fell next. Then Cedric. Then Neil.
Only Bruce remained. As an assassin, Bruce had forced invisibility. With his Ultra-Low Presence talent, the Blue Armor General gave up the chase.
But by pure chance, Bruce’s position lined up with the Red Armor General.
“ROAR!”
The two bosses crashed into each other.
The bosses started fighting.
At that moment, Bruce finally understood the guide.
But the huge dungeon was already in ruins.

The scene looked no different from what he remembered.
Now there was only Bruce left. It felt like locking someone with claustrophobia inside a dark, sealed room.
He was scared. Even though he knew he could take advantage of the two bosses fighting, he was still afraid.
“And if I keep going,” he thought, “I might get into a university. But that would mean betraying my teammates. I-I don’t want to betray anyone again.”
Deep down, he knew the person he truly owed was Joanna. But after coming this far, he felt he couldn’t betray Lucas, Cedric, and Neil too.
It was like a certain kind of jerk.
When he was with his first girlfriend, he hurt her again and again. After they broke up, to treat the next girlfriend better, never repeating those mistakes.
This was a classic case of compensation-style guilt.
“Do you want to exit the dungeon? If you exit, your SAT dungeon score will be counted as a failure. Except for bonus points, your dungeon score will be 0.”
“Yes.”
Bruce nodded.
