Chapter 162
Fiona’s POV
Lisa completely lost it. Her anger snapped whatever control she had left.
She shouted at me, her voice sharp and shaking, then raised her hand, ready to slap me.

“Mrs Jenson!” The driver rushed forward, panic in his voice as he tried to stop her, but I didn’t need help.
I caught her wrist mid–air, tight and firm so that she couldn’t move.
A cold smile spread across my lips.
“Fall for my trick that easily?” I tilted my head slightly. “Why don’t you go home and ask your precious son if he ever wished me death?”
Her eyes trembled.
“And the poison?” I added lightly, seeing how she was panicking. “I made it up.”
Silence followed, and I could see her exhale in relief, panting.
“I just wanted to see how stupid you really are as a mother.” I said and let out a short laugh. “Turns out… you’re even worse than I thought.”
Her face went pale.
“You believe anything you’re told. Honestly, how did you and Russell even build a company? As for being Betas, if it weren’t from family lineage, none of you would qualify at all. The Alpha should dethrone you both, or the pack would be a joke.”
I leant in slightly, my voice dropping with mockery.
“Like a kiddie pool.”
Then I let go of her hand hard enough that she stumbled backward, nearly falling, but the driver caught her just in time.
“Mrs Jenson, are you okay?”
I turned and walked away.
“Fiona!” Her voice chased after me, desperate and broken.
“Dominic has a high fever! He’s in the hospital! He’s unconscious because of you!”
I kept walking without looking back.
“Doesn’t your heart ache at all?! Do you feel even a little guilt?!”
I feel nothing like that..

Russell had stayed all night, but Damon forced him to go rest in the morning. He would be back later.
Damon told me to rest too, but I refused.
