When the baby turned one month old, the Whitmore family invited not only their relatives but also Calvin Harper over for dinner. The Whitmore family never forgot his kindness, and when Calvin arrived, Sylvia was warm and grateful toward him.

Hathaway turned to Evelyn and Leo. “You two, don’t leave Calvin’s side today. Make sure he feels welcome and looked after the whole time.”

Evelyn raised an eyebrow. “Aren’t we guests too?”

“You guys are my friends, but Calvin hasn’t visited my home before,” Hathaway replied.

“Alright then,” Evelyn pouted, sounding a bit playful and resigned.

There were also some relatives from the Rivers family at the Whitmore gathering today. When they spotted Calvin Harper, especially Celeste’s brother, they couldn’t hide their surprise.

Seeing Evelyn’s unhappy face, Hathaway quickly reassured her. “Yours are totally normal. Calvin’s is so heavy, my niece and nephew would break their necks if they tried to wear it. It’s basically just for show.”

Evelyn finally smiled and nodded. “Hathaway, what are Avery’s kids named?”

‘Both my nephew and niece are born with a positive personality, so we named them Luis Whitmore and Sophie Whitmore,‘ Hathaway explained.

In her previous life, her family was gone, so it probably wasn’t the whitmore family who named the kids.

When Celeste heard the names Calvin suggested, she looked confused, like she’d never even thought about those names before. So this time, there was no way they’d actually use the names Calvin came up with.

Hathaway kept watching Calvin’s face as he heard the names. For a split second, his expression flickered, almost like he was caught off guard, but he quickly composed himself, looking just as calm as ever.

Avery clapped Calvin, tall and straight–backed, on the shoulder, gratitude shining in his eyes. Like lifelong friends, he invited Calvin to take a seat.

“Let’s sit down too,” Hathaway said to Leo and Evelyn.

Hathaway kept sneaking peeks at Calvin. Today, he didn’t even glance at Celeste or the baby, which was totally different from last time, when he couldn’t take his eyes off them.

“Make sure you guys eat plenty,” Hathaway said to her friends.

“You should eat too. Or is just staring at Calvin enough to fill you up?” Evelyn teased.

Hathaway picked up her fork, feeling a little embarrassed. Just as she was about to take a bite, Jeremiah suddenly showed up at the baptism.

Jeremiah strode in, cool and refined, his aura so strong it seemed to hush the whole room. He headed straight for the table, and just like that, everyone’s attention locked onto him.

Sylvia was all smiles, greeting the guests, when she suddenly spotted Jeremiah. She was totally caught off guard–she hadn’t expected him to show up at all.

She never imagined he’d make a special trip just for the full moon party. He only brought two assistants carrying gifts; Eleanor and Reginald were nowhere to be seen. Sylvia couldn’t help but wonder if Jeremiah was here on his own, or if he was representing the Blackwood family.

Sylvia hadn’t specifically invited Eleanor and Reginald.

The room fell silent for a moment.

Hathaway’s face gradually stiffened.

Sylvia kept smiling as she welcomed guests, exchanged a few words with Jeremiah, then told him to sit down.

Leo gave up his seat right next to Hathaway, but she quickly switched places with him, moving further away from Jeremiah to avoid any unnecessary attention or gossip.

After all, in the eyes of the Rivers family, she and Jeremiah had already called off their engagement, so sitting together would only invite gossip.

While everyone was raising their glasses and making small talk, Hathaway kept to herself, head down and quiet.

“I’ll never forget what you and Jessica did to me. You two…” Hathaway barely finished before Jeremiah moved so fast, it felt like he was about to devour her whole hand.

Jeremiah suddenly dipped his head, took the tooth right from her fingertips into his mouth, and with a swift roll of his tongue, swallowed it in one go.

“What are you doing?!” Hathaway froze on the spot, shocked and furious, her heart pounding wildly. She frantically reached up, trying to pry his lips open.

“It’s gone,” Jeremiah said, sounding almost casual.
