Chapter 192 Hathaway’s Outburst
Hathaway got home and took a shower.
In her previous life, Hathaway had struggled to keep her pregnancy for over five months. Jeremiah deliberately wanted her to give birth, just so he could expose the man behind it all. But in the end, Jessica shoved her down the stairs, and Hathaway lost the baby.
Once again, Hathaway stealthily switched to a backup phone and sent Jessica a private video of Jeremiah caught up in desire, with some snarky, fake concern attached.
[Your boyfriend, that scumbag, slept with me again. Can you believe it? Don’t you just want to kill him? Seriously, break up with him! A guy like that is trash, you really shouldn’t stick around. I’m just doing you a favor.]
This time, you could even hear Jeremiah’s heavy breathing in the clip.
Jessica couldn’t fake ignorance anymore.
After sending the message, Hathaway yawned, turned off the lights, and went to sleep.
Meanwhile, Jessica received the message.
She jolted, nerves on edge, too scared to even open it.
After wrestling with herself for twenty whole minutes, she finally gave in and tapped the video. The moment she saw what was playing, Jessica was frozen in shock.
Her blood ran cold.
It was a steamy GIF.
Jeremiah’s usual cold, handsome face was gone, replaced by a look of pure lust. His jaw was tight, his breathing heavy and ragged.
It was so hot, it was almost explosive.
Jessica never imagined Jeremiah could be like this.
Her face went ghostly pale, her blood boiling as jealousy and rage exploded inside her.
She tried calling back, but the phone was off again.
It was off again.
‘What a sneaky little bitch,‘ Jessica thought.
Jessica completely lost it. She let out a scream, hurled her phone at the wall with all her strength, and the screen shattered instantly. She fell to her knees in despair.
The commotion startled the rest of the family. Except for Elizabeth, who was already asleep, everyone rushed in.
“What’s going on?”
“What happened?”
Seeing Jessica’s face pale and her emotions completely out of control, Melanie and the others were shocked.
“Jessica, why are you freaking out? Why did you smash your phone like that?”
“Did Jeremiah do something to upset you?”
“Don’t worry, guys are always like this. He’ll be fine tomorrow.”
The family gathered around Jessica, trying to soothe her, but seeing her cry in silence only made them more anxious.
Felix asked, “Is he trying to break up with you?”
Jessica kept her head down, tears falling quietly. Hurt and resentful, she wouldn’t say a word.
Melanie gently patted her back, her voice full of concern. “If you’re upset about something, just tell us. Don’t keep it all bottled up. If Jeremiah ever dares to hurt you, we’ll stand up for you.”
Jessica bit her lip hard, tears streaming down her face.
Seeing Jessica like this, she’d never been this heartbroken before. Felix couldn’t stand it. “If it’s really that bad, just break up with him. There are plenty of great guys out there who’d be lucky to have you.”
Preston snapped, “Felix!”
Those guys are nothing next to Jeremiah. Felix’s just a kid, he doesn’t get it.
Jessica choked out through her sobs, “It’s not his fault. Please, just stop asking.”
Her mind kept replaying that video from the unknown number. Jeremiah was all over another woman, getting hot and heavy right in front of her eyes.
Jessica was driven mad with jealousy, and the shame was unbearable. There was no way she could ever spill something this private and humiliating to her family.
She clenched her fists, already cursing that woman lurking in the dark. After a while, she finally managed to speak, her voice hoarse. “It’s not about Jeremiah. It’s just work stuff. Can you all just leave? I need to rest.”
