Lola’s team—now under Izu’s lead—finally reached a smaller town.

Compared to the one they came from, this place was quieter. As their truck rolled along the silent street, Izu, Pika, and the other members riding in the back looked around warily.

This was more of a residential area, with many houses already having their lights turned off. The last member, seated in the front passenger seat, kept his guard up.

"This doesn’t look like a gigantic town," Pika murmured, a chill creeping up his spine. "It’s so quiet."

The contrast between this town and the one they had left behind was eerie.

"Are there even people here?" one of the men in the back wondered. "I don’t like the air around this place."

Izu glanced at the two men with him, catching Pika quietly shrinking into the corner of the truck, then shifted his attention to checking their signals. All their guards were up, ready for whatever ambush might happen—if there was one.

As they quietly made their way toward their destination, Izu noticed curtains in nearby houses shifting slightly, as if people were peeking out for reasons unknown.

"Boss." Izu leaned closer to the driver’s seat, the window fully rolled down. "Is this the place?"

The driver glanced at him through the side mirror and spoke loudly enough for Izu to hear.

"Yeah," he said casually. "That woman you left behind told me to take you to Gigante. This is Gigante. A lot more peaceful than Sector Six, huh?"

Everyone—including those in the back—shifted their attention to the driver.

"Don’t worry," the man continued. "Gigante’s a smaller town, mostly residents of the territory. You’ll find places like this all over Ravah. They’re mostly safe—aside from the occasional brawl here and there, but nothing deadly."

Still, no one responded. They listened in silence, weighing his words.

"In this place, if you want to live in peace, you gotta learn Ravah’s rules of survival," the old man went on. "That woman with you earlier seemed used to this territory. Still, I gotta warn you boys—be careful. The residents avoid conflict at all costs. Don’t cause trouble, especially if you’re just visiting. Treat them with respect and kindness, and they’ll return it. But treat them otherwise, and you’ll be answering to the big boys of the territory."

Izu, Pika, and the other two men followed his gaze toward the left side of the street. With that, they climbed out of the truck and ended their contract with the driver.

As they stood on the roadside, they watched the man study them carefully.

"You fellas..." the driver shook his head. "You should change into something more... casual. You stand out too much, especially in this town. If you don’t want attention, start with how you look."

He let out a shallow chuckle and drove off slowly. Even as he did, he glanced at them through the side-view mirror.

"Man..." he clicked his tongue. "This territory’s never short on people looking for trouble."

Still, he didn’t dwell on it and continued on his way. After all, Lola had paid him far more than he would earn in several months of work. Even if he suspected the men he’d just dropped off might die one way or another, that was no longer his concern.
