The Billionaire Twins Need A New Mommy! novel Chapter 543

Chapter 543: Wouldn’t Get Up

The state of the home was no better than the outside. The walls were worn and old, bearing stories only they had ever witnessed. But instead of taking them elsewhere, the old granny led them into what looked like a small kitchen.

"Just wait a little," she hummed gently at the young men seated stiffly on the chairs. "I’ll prepare your tea. You may want to put your bags and other things down and relax. Don’t worry! I wouldn’t mind even if you took your shirts off."

The men didn’t answer. They didn’t even want to process her words.

All they did was sit rigidly, eyes downcast, faces etched with horror. They had been on many missions before, but this was the first time they felt they were about to endure this kind of mission.

Now they understood why no one was coming to this brothel.

Pika pursed his lips, lifting his eyes toward the granny.

"Granny..." he murmured, on the verge of tears. "No."

How could a woman at that age still be so happily taking customers!? Not that Pika had ever availed himself of such services. He disliked this line of business altogether. After all, it often exploited women, and not everyone involved was there by choice.

But this grandmother?

She was willing.

A group activity?

Pika covered his mouth, stopping himself from gagging at the thought.

"Don’t think—don’t even imagine it," one of the men muttered under his breath, glaring at Pika. "Don’t you dare."

How could I not?! I’m the most scared here!

As for Izu, he gulped and tried to maintain his composure. But the beads of sweat forming on his forehead and trickling down his neck betrayed him.

He was nervous too.

Was this really necessary?

They had no idea.

Lola had simply left them and told them to come here. That was it. No further instructions. No explanation of what to do or how to get information from whoever they were supposed to meet. Worse, they had no idea what kind of secret codes were spoken in this land.

It would’ve helped if she’d given them more details, rather than abandoning them only to leave them wondering whether they had to pimp themselves out.

This was not part of the plan.

Soon, the old woman returned to their table carrying a tray with cups and a teapot. A gentle smile—one often seen on grandmothers—rested on her face as she set the cups down and poured tea for them.

"These teas contain an aphrodisiac," she said casually. "A very effective one. Once you drink them, you’ll be getting your money’s worth."

The moment she said that, everyone instinctively leaned back, putting as much distance as possible between themselves and the cups. They doubted it would even work—but still!

When the granny finished pouring, she stood at the end of the table, smiling.

"Don’t worry. It’s not poisoned."

To reassure them, she poured herself a cup from the same pot and took a sip.

"See?" she chuckled. "It’s safe."

For you, it is! Not for us!!

The men swallowed those words, staring at her in pure horror. After several seconds had passed with no one moving, the old woman raised a brow.

"What is it?" she tilted her head. "Do you not need it? Then, shall we go to the bedroom?"

Just as she asked, Izu reached out, grabbed a cup of hot tea, and chugged it down in one go.

Pika panicked and chimed in, "I—I’ll try to establish our connection! I need a better spot to focus. It’s been a while, so the others are probably done setting things up, anyway!"

Izu opened and closed his mouth, completely speechless.

How could they sacrifice him so shamelessly?

Sure, this was his first mission with them, but wasn’t this a bit too much?

"Why..." he trailed off when he finally found his voice. "Why just me?"

"Aren’t you the leader now?" They replied in unison. "Since the madam left us behind, you’re the leader by default."

"No—" Before Izu could finish, all three stood up.

One of them patted his shoulder reassuringly. "Don’t worry about danger outside. We’ve got your back."

"I’ll never forget your sacrifice, Izu," another said, giving his shoulder a squeeze. "Thank you, man."

And just like that, they left.

Pika gave Izu a look of guilt, but it wasn’t enough to make him stay. In fact, he nearly sprinted outside, leaving Izu completely alone.

"..." Izu gulped, staring at the empty entrance where they had disappeared. After a deep breath, only one word escaped him.

"Fuck."

He didn’t even know why he was still playing along, but with clenched teeth, he grabbed the untouched cups of tea and downed them one by one.

Maybe it would help him somehow.

But even after drinking all of it, his junior didn’t stand at all.
