The Billionaire Twins Need A New Mommy! novel Chapter 593

Chapter 593: Halvik and Ashkar

Minutes ago, in other regions of Ravah, mainly in the houses of the governors...

The old folk of the Halvik region, Godfrey, massaged the wrinkles on his forehead. He leaned back in his rocking chair, letting it rock back and forth to calm himself down. After all, the rhythmic creak it created put some peace in his mind.

Godfrey had always been at odds with Gehran—the governor of New Gehran, the one who was being attacked by some outside forces.

Not so long ago, he was just bantering with Gehran over a call.

Although they were made aware of the situation and the return of the thief of Ravah, Godfrey didn’t think much of it. After all, among the governors, he was the least likely to hold a grudge against Lola. That woman only stole his blueprint, and nothing else.

Compared to the ruckus she created in New Gehran and the massacre she committed in Ashkar, her burglary was considered a minimal crime. Not to mention, Godfrey had no interest in the underground tunnels because of their dangers. He was once interested, but they were just too complicated to waste more of his time on.

In other words, he did mean his agreement on the truce with that fatty governor... until he got this "letter."

A deep exhale escaped Godfrey as he stopped his rocking chair from moving. When he reopened his eyes, the wrinkles on his face deepened.

"Are you certain about this information?" he asked, turning his head and revealing a dozen men—his own little senate members—standing to the side. "This Atlas fellow... is part of a bigger organization, and the Phantom Circle is only a part of his organization?"

One of the middle-aged men nodded. "Yes, that’s what our intel told us."

"Have you double-checked this information?"

"Yes, Governor," another remarked. "We pulled our strings outside the territory, and we were told not to cross him."

Godfrey was not pleased by that at all. His ego was hit, but he let his frown do the talking.

"We’ve been attacked countless times by even the biggest international agencies," he remarked, his voice growing stern. "Yet Ravah has stood tall over many generations. And now you are telling me to stand down because a man who sent a piece of his résumé is brave enough—or rather, greedy enough—to want a piece of this land?"

The men in the room lowered their heads, knowing better than to speak.

"I do not like that foolish Gehran, and I do wish he chokes on the snacks he munches every minute of every day," he continued. "However, compared to Jarvis, I trusted him more. After all, Jarvis is a scary man."

"He was taken in by his uncle despite what his father had committed. He was treated no differently, and even though I loathed the late governor before Gehran took over, that man treated Jarvis like his own son. And yet, Jarvis still brought about his demise and handed that fool the power."

Godfrey shook his head, clicking his tongue. "If he could do that to his own blood, he could do worse."

Still, Jarvis and Gehran were a better option than an outsider. Regardless of his personal opinion, Godfrey understood what truly mattered.

Maintaining balance in Ravah.

"If that man is as dangerous as you’ve said..." he pointed at the résumé in one of his men’s hands, "then that means Gehran needs reinforcement. Send some people to New Gehran and reach out to Jarvis. Tell him that—"

"Governor!"

Suddenly, another voice echoed in the luxurious room. Everyone turned to see a tall young man—one of Godfrey’s sons from his twentieth mistress—standing by the door.

The young man gulped and hurried inside.

"What is it, son?" Godfrey asked. "You’d better make sure this is important..."

"The governor of Ashkar reached out and sent us a letter!" his son announced, handing his father an envelope.
