The Billionaire’s Fight For Redemption (Noah and Sierra) novel Chapter 309

“Why wouldn’t they want you back?” Lilly scoffs, waving a dismissive hand. “They’d be idiots to let your talent go and besides, with that million-dollar compensation, you’re set for a while. You don’t have to rush back to work.”

“You’re right.” I smile faintly. “Especially now with the baby so close, I need some time off.”

“Then it’s settled.” She grins. “You’re officially on bed rest.”

My brows rise.

“And strictly no sex,” she adds dramatically. “Doctor’s orders.”

“Shh!” I hiss, pointing at Nolan sleeping peacefully on my lap.

She rolls her eyes. “That boy could sleep through a hurricane.”

Then she leans closer and whispers anyway, “But seriously. No rough sex.”

A laugh bubbles out of me. “First of all, Adrian and I haven’t even had sex yet… and second, considering he’s my doctor, he’d be the one giving that order… if it even applied.”

Her eyes widen so much they almost pop out of her head.

“You mean to tell me,” she says slowly, staring at me like I’ve grown another head, “that you and your hot doctor boyfriend haven’t had sex?”

“Exactly that.”

“But… why?” she demands, completely baffled. “It should have happened ages ago.”

I scoff. “Hello? I’m pregnant.”

“Yeah… so?” Lilly shrugs. “That hasn’t stopped women all over the world from getting their freak on.”

“It’s not like I haven’t thought about it,” I defend myself.

“Then what’s stopping you?”

I open my mouth, then close it again because honestly, I don’t think she’d understand.

There have been so many times I’ve come close to saying fuck it, so many moments where I almost let myself fall completely into Adrian… but every single time, I hold back.

“Do you need anything?” Mom and Aunt Harper ask at the exact same time.

I shake my head. “Just the bathroom.”

They step aside and let me pass.

When I finally reach the bathroom, relieving myself feels like absolute heaven. I sit there longer than necessary, just enjoying the relief as my shoulders slowly relax and some of the tension drains from my body.

After a while I stand, wash my hands, and head for the door.

I’m not even three steps into the hallway when someone suddenly grabs my hand and pulls me forward.

It happens so fast that my brain barely has time to catch up.

One second I’m walking. The next I’m being dragged into a room and the door shuts behind us.

I spin around, ready to explode when I come face-to-face with Noah; his grey eyes are locked onto mine.
