The Billionaire's Heir I Never Knew Was Mine novel Chapter 174

Chapter 174: Knife Injury?

The smile faded from Sienna’s face as she lowered her gaze toward her arm. She knew Logan wasn’t wrong. The injury wasn’t a simple scratch.

She had felt the blade cut through her skin, and although she had ignored the pain during the fight, it had become much more noticeable now that the danger had passed. The wound was deeper than she wanted to admit.

Even so, she disliked hospitals. The thought of spending the rest of her night sitting in an emergency room held little appeal.

"Ma’am, please," Logan said when she remained silent. "If you refuse to go, I’ll have no choice but to call Mr. Sterling."

Sienna immediately looked up.

"Alright. Take me to the hospital."

The last thing Sienna wanted was for Logan to call Zachary and tell him everything. Zachary was already away handling important business. If he learned she had been injured, he would likely cancel his plans and rush back immediately. She didn’t want to add another burden on his shoulders.

Relief and gratitude visibly spread across Logan’s face. "Thank you for being willing to go to the hospital, Ma’am."

Without wasting another second, he turned and walked toward the elevator before pressing the call button.

Sienna followed him at a slower pace, carefully supporting her injured arm. The adrenaline that had carried her through the fight was gradually fading, leaving her exhausted and with a dull ache spreading throughout her body.

As they waited for the elevator, a thought suddenly crossed her mind.

"Logan."

He turned toward her.

"Yes, Ma’am?"

"Don’t tell Zach," she said quietly. "Let’s not bother his business trip."

Logan’s brows immediately drew together. His expression made it clear that he disagreed with the request. In his position, informing Zachary was probably the responsible thing to do.

Sienna looked at him firmly.

"Logan."

The warning in her voice was gentle but unmistakable.

For several seconds, Logan hesitated. Then he sighed in defeat. "Yes, Ma’am," he said. "I won’t call him."

Only then did Sienna relax slightly. Whether Logan truly intended to keep that promise remained to be seen, but for the moment, she chose to believe him.

...

At Anderson Hospital.

Logan stood quietly at the foot of Sienna’s bed while a nurse carefully removed the bloodstained cloth wrapped around her arm. His expression remained calm, but his attention never left the wound. The moment the bandage came off completely, his eyes widened slightly.

The cut stretched along the inside of her arm, longer and deeper than he had expected.

Earlier, Sienna had said it was a minor injury, but one look was enough for Logan to know she had not been telling the truth.

This was not the kind of wound someone got from accidentally bumping into something sharp. The clean, deep cut looked as though it had been made by a knife or a dagger.

As the nurse gently cleaned away the dried blood, Logan’s mind began filling with questions.

’What exactly had happened to her after she left the convenience store?’
