Sienna didn’t waste the opportunity.
"If any of you come closer, I’ll use all my strength to seriously injure you... I mean, you won’t be able to enjoy your life!" she warned, pressing down harder while keeping the dagger aimed at him.
Her gaze shifted briefly to the other gangsters, making sure they understood she wasn’t bluffing.
The three men immediately hesitated and looked confused.
"Stop!" Blade ordered through gritted teeth.
Relief washed through Sienna, but she refused to lower her guard. She maintained her position on top of him and kept both hands firmly on the dagger. The situation was still dangerous. One mistake could allow Blade to regain control, and she knew the other men were watching closely for any chance to throw a strike at her.
"Now release your hand and the dagger," she instructed in a cold voice. "Don’t test me. This sharp dagger will pierce your skin before you get another chance."
Her mind raced as she spoke. She needed to take the weapon and get away from this place as quickly as possible. Remaining here would only give Blade and his men more chances to surround her again.
Fortunately, Blade seemed to understand the situation. Whether because of the dagger pointed at him or the pain between his legs, he was still enduring; he chose not to challenge her.
Slowly, she felt his fingers loosen around the handle. His resistance faded little by little until she finally gained complete control of the dagger.
The moment the weapon was hers, Sienna acted.
She quickly stood and stepped back to create distance. Then, before Blade could rise from the ground, she struck him across the side of the head with the handle of the dagger. The blow wasn’t intended to seriously injure him, only to buy her a few more precious seconds.
Without waiting to see the result, she turned and ran.
Her legs carried her toward the side gate as fast as they could. The cut on her arm burned with every movement, and her lungs felt tight from the fight, but fear pushed her forward.
She didn’t dare look back. Her only focus was reaching the entrance of Orchid Garden Apartment.
The distance felt much shorter this time.
When she finally passed through the gate and reached the building entrance, she slowed just enough to glance over her shoulder.
The road behind her was empty.
She couldn’t see Blade.
She couldn’t see the other gangsters.
A deep breath escaped her.
"Thank God, I’m safe," she muttered under her breath before hurrying toward the glass entrance door.
Only after stepping inside the elevator and hearing the doors slide shut did she finally allow herself to relax.
The adrenaline that had kept her moving with strength throughout the fight began to fade, leaving exhaustion, pain, and trembling relief in its wake.
