At first, Celeste was indeed shocked, but she had already let it go.
As the crowd swarmed around Trevor and his group, Trevor didn’t notice Celeste’s presence.
Celeste appeared gentle and calm, but Matthias knew she was a person of great resolve, willing to take risks and pursue her desires.
In her professional life, once she had an idea or interest, she would dedicate all her energy to it and fully immerse herself in the work, even if the outcome had no market value.
For her, the only way to find out if something worked was to try it.
The same applied to her personal life. She had loved Trevor deeply, enough to gamble her future on him by giving up the chance for further education and diving into family life with determination.
Now, though the cost had been high, Matthias had never once seen regret in Celeste’s eyes. So when Celeste said she was fine and ready to move on, Matthias believed her.
He smiled and asked, “Want something to drink?”
Celeste nodded with a smile. “Sure.”
They moved against the tide of the crowd toward the drinks area.
“How about some wine?” Matthias asked.
“Okay. Just a little.”
Though Celeste didn’t particularly enjoy drinking, her tolerance wasn’t bad.
They clinked glasses and quietly stood to the side, sipping their drinks.
After a while, someone approached them. “Matthias, you’re here too?”
“Professor Leonard,” Matthias greeted the newcomer warmly, “I was just about to look for you, but I couldn’t find you.”
Bryson Leonard chuckled teasingly. “Really? I don’t quite believe that.”
“It’s true. I came here today specifically to introduce someone to you.”
“Oh?”
When Bryson’s gaze landed on Celeste, he was impressed by her striking appearance and elegant aura. Nonetheless, he was also puzzled as to why Matthias would want to introduce her to him.
If Matthias weren’t known for his integrity, Bryson might have thought something else entirely.
“You mentioned that the language programming project you’ve been working on recently was stuck in a bottleneck.” Matthias gestured to Celeste and introduced,This is Celeste, my junior. She’s a genius in language programming. I can guarantee she’ll be able to help you.”
“Your junior?” Bryson was taken aback.
Matthias” mentor, Zachary Newman, was a big name in the domestic Al field. All of his students, though still young, were already pillars of the country’s tech industry.
However, Celeste’s name was unfamiliar to Bryson.

Matthias smiled. “Yes, the programming language Cuap was developed by her team eight years ago.”
When it came to programming languages, few had as much weight in the industry as Cuap
Bryson was bewildered. “Really?”
“Really. If you chat with her, I’m sure you’ll find out soon enough.”
Now eager, Bryson asked Celeste a few questions to gauge her expertise.
After a brief conversation, they dove into the challenges he was facing, and the more they discussed, the more excited he became. The conversation flowed effortlessly, and he could hardly stop.
Matthias sipped his drink as he watched them with a smile, content not to interrupt.
Just then, Matthias looked up and saw Wynn walking toward him.
As soon as Wynn noticed him looking, she nodded and gave a polite smile.
Matthias froze as he recalled Wynn’s status. Before he could react, Wynn had already reached him.
“Mr. Yoder,” she greeted.

I just need an effing glimpse to what goes around in Trevor's mind. Author - do something about it please There is not even a single mention about what Trevor really wants - interested in Celeste? If yes, then why there is no reaction on seeing people courting Celeste...
I love the story bt really death slow... Y cant you post 5 to 10 chapters per day????...
This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
