Before Trevor could respond, his phone rang.
He stepped outside to take the call, and by the time he returned, the food was being served.
Miles' question was left hanging—brushed aside just like that.
Right now, the author of the paper that engineers in the country and abroad were scrambling to read was sitting right in front of them.
As the meal progressed, Rodney and his students couldn't help but ask Celeste questions as they skimmed through the paper's core content and experimental data.
Whether they asked about specific parts of the paper or about broader problems that had puzzled them in their own research, Celeste responded to everything fluently and confidently.
Wynn watched in silence. Her heart was calm.
Watching Celeste speak so assuredly with Rodney and the others actually seemed like she did know what she was talking about.
But was that really possible?
Given Matthias' capabilities, if he was willing to credit Celeste as first author, then he must have ensured she was thoroughly prepared.
At first, when she heard Matthias say Celeste was the lead author, she had been utterly shocked.
But if this paper really was Celeste's independent research, as Matthias claimed, then wouldn't that mean she was even more impressive than her advisor, Cayden?
How could that be possible?
She wasn't Matthias.
There were countless geniuses in the world but not everyone could become like Matthias.
So most likely, the paper was actually Matthias' work, and he was simply using it to boost Celeste.
Once she'd convinced herself of this, she cast a casual glance toward Celeste, watching her chat confidently with Rodney and the others, before looking away.
Lilian and Linda were thinking along the same lines as Wynn.
Linda, who was more hot-tempered, grew furious watching Celeste carry on like she was some real expert, even daring to give advice to Rodney.
She nearly couldn't hold herself back from standing up and exposing "the truth". But since neither Lilian nor Wynn said anything, she didn't dare speak out either, no matter how angry she felt.
Jorge had also inwardly questioned Celeste's abilities. But seeing Rodney's focused, genuinely excited expression while speaking to her, he started to waver.
Did Beck really believe Celeste was that professionally capable? Was that why he liked her?
But then…
No, that couldn't be it.
Beck had seemed to like Celeste even before Harper Corporation and YodaVision started cooperating.
So clearly, his feelings for Celeste had nothing to do with her professional abilities.
Just then, Trevor's voice sounded beside her, "What are you thinking about?"
Wynn snapped out of her thoughts.
Seeing that Celeste had stolen all the attention today, and that Trevor hadn't spared her a single extra glance, she curved her lips into a light smile and said, "Nothing."
Whether Celeste's abilities were real or not—it didn't matter.
In Trevor's eyes, she simply didn't exist.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Breaking Point of Love (Celeste and Trevor)
Another saviour debt?? Seriously?...
I just need an effing glimpse to what goes around in Trevor's mind. Author - do something about it please There is not even a single mention about what Trevor really wants - interested in Celeste? If yes, then why there is no reaction on seeing people courting Celeste...
I love the story bt really death slow... Y cant you post 5 to 10 chapters per day????...
This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
My fav novel post us more chap per day...
