On Thursday night, Celeste and Matthias, who had just returned from a business trip, attended a banquet together.

Celeste paid them no attention. After she and Matthias chatted briefly with the host of the banquet, she saw Kieran approaching them.
Kieran had gotten an invitation after learning she would be attending the event.
That evening, Celeste wore a sleek, form-fitting black gown with a simple cut, paired with her long, straight, dark hair.
Not only did she look cool and composed, but she also carried an air of mystery. She was stunning and eye-catching.
It seemed that every time he saw her at a banquet, she managed to impress him all over again.
He had been at the previous two events as well, so Celeste wasn't surprised to see him this time. She simply said, "You're here too?"
Kieran quickly masked the amazement in his eyes and replied, "Yeah."
It was said that Dane Tanner would also be attending tonight's banquet. He was a good friend of Cayden's. The two were equally well-known for their contributions to AI.
During her PhD studies, Wynn had met Dane twice.
They weren't close, but they knew each other.
Upon hearing that Dane was present, Wynn approached to greet him. "Mr. Tanner, long time no see."
Dane gave her a small nod.
Seeing that he still remembered her, Wynn smiled and wanted to continue the conversation.
However, Dane, clearly uninterested, turned his head before she could say anything and asked his assistant, "Well? Are Rodriguez and Yoder here yet?"
Meanwhile, Dane had reached Celeste and immediately introduced himself. He said, "I've read your paper multiple times—it's absolutely fascinating."
After shaking hands, Celeste replied, "Mr. Tanner, you flatter me."
Her paper had only been published a few days ago, but organizers from several top international AI conferences had already sent her invitations, hoping she would attend.
Celeste, however, had politely declined them all.
Since she wouldn't travel abroad, Dane had decided to fly in himself to meet her.
Now that he finally saw her, he launched enthusiastically into conversation. He started with her paper, then quickly expanded into other AI-related topics.
Whether it was the history of AI or trends in its development, Celeste responded with calm fluency.
When Dane mentioned who had published which paper in what year and on which topic, she could immediately follow up by highlighting the brilliance of that work and naturally referencing two or three related papers.
She extracted the core ideas and engaged Dane in a deep and informed discussion.

I just need an effing glimpse to what goes around in Trevor's mind. Author - do something about it please There is not even a single mention about what Trevor really wants - interested in Celeste? If yes, then why there is no reaction on seeing people courting Celeste...
I love the story bt really death slow... Y cant you post 5 to 10 chapters per day????...
This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
