Three days after Jordyn started staying at the Rodriguez residence, her phone rang in the evening just as Celeste was in her room drying her hair.
Seeing the caller ID, Jordyn happily turned to Celeste and said, "Mom, it's Dad calling!"
Celeste gave a soft hum, and Jordyn answered the call, putting it on speakerphone. "Dad!"
Trevor asked, "Have you had dinner?"
"I have!"
After some small talk, he got to the point of his call. "Tomorrow is the day we planned to go out with Wynn. I'll be sending someone to pick you up soon."
Even though Celeste had been busy with work and hadn't spent a lot of time with her, these past few days had still been very happy ones for Jordyn.
She wasn't quite ready to leave. So, her first instinct was to say, "Dad, I don't want to—"
But she suddenly paused, as if something came to mind, and changed her mind. She lowered her voice and said, "Okay, but Dad, you have to come pick me up yourself."
Trevor, indulgent as ever when she acted spoiled, chuckled. "Alright, I will come get you myself."
After hanging up, Jordyn walked over and hugged Celeste's arm tightly. "Mom, I don't want to leave you..."
When Trevor had mentioned sending someone to pick her up, she'd instinctively wanted to refuse.
If Celeste had to guess, she suspected the reason Jordyn changed her mind was because she didn't want to disappoint Wynn.
She wasn't ready to leave Celeste, but that didn't stop her from choosing not to let Wynn down.
Thinking that, Celeste gently patted her head and reminded her, "Go pack your things now. Your dad will be here soon."
But Jordyn wasn't happy to hear that.
She clung to Celeste's arm and said, "Mom, I already told you I brought so many things this time because I didn't want to pack again when I come over for summer break. It hasn't even been that many days, but you've already forgotten?"
Celeste hadn't forgotten.
It was just that, when Jordyn had mentioned it a couple of days ago, Celeste didn't agree to it.
Celeste nodded. "Mm."
Betty sighed and gave a small smile. "That's probably for the best."
After chatting with her for a bit, Celeste suddenly remembered something and took the initiative to send Trevor a message.
"You should find a time to talk to Jordyn about our divorce."
If it were any other child, the news of their parents divorcing might be hard to accept.
But Jordyn was different. Telling her would be fine.
A while later, Trevor replied, "Alright. I'll find the right time to tell her."
Just as Celeste put her phone down and was about to get back to her work, he sent another message.
"If you have anything you'd like to add to our divorce agreement, feel free to have your lawyer contact mine. If it's reasonable, I'll agree to it."

The readers' comments on the novel: The Breaking Point of Love (Celeste and Trevor)
Another saviour debt?? Seriously?...
I just need an effing glimpse to what goes around in Trevor's mind. Author - do something about it please There is not even a single mention about what Trevor really wants - interested in Celeste? If yes, then why there is no reaction on seeing people courting Celeste...
I love the story bt really death slow... Y cant you post 5 to 10 chapters per day????...
This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
My fav novel post us more chap per day...
