The Rodriguez family had already heard about Velotra's situation.
Now that Celeste had achieved great success in her career, both Ivan and Betty were genuinely happy for her.
To celebrate, they arranged to have lunch together with her on Saturday afternoon.
As Ivan's car approached the restaurant and was about to enter the parking lot, it nearly collided with another vehicle coming from the opposite direction.
The other driver had failed to control their speed, so technically it was their fault. However, Ivan decided not to fuss about it.
Since his car was in front, he should have had the right of way, but the other car tried to cut in. Frowning, Ivan rolled down his window to reason with the driver.
Coincidentally, the other driver rolled down their window too—clearly believing they were in the right.
But the moment Ivan saw who was inside, his face turned cold.
Harvey didn't expect the other party to be Ivan and Betty. Whatever words he'd intended to say immediately stuck in his throat.
In the passenger seat was Lilian, and in the back were Erin and Patricia. All of them saw Ivan.
None of them had expected such a coincidence.
Ivan looked away and, before Harvey could react, drove straight into the parking lot.
They had been in high spirits earlier, looking forward to the celebratory meal. But upon encountering the Locket family, Betty's face turned cold almost instantly.
Celeste held onto her arm and gently patted her hand to soothe her.
Thinking of how her daughter's health had improved and how Celeste was now doing better than ever, Betty felt comforted.
She realized she truly should look forward and not let past people or events disturb her peace. Her mood gradually improved.
After parking, Celeste and the rest of the family were the first to enter the restaurant.
Thanks to Betty's change of heart, their group's mood remained largely unaffected.
But the Locket family and the Shaw family were another story.
Watching the Rodriguez family walk away, everyone—Erin, Patricia, and even Wynn—had unpleasant expressions.
They had all heard about Velotra.
Hearing this, Wynn looked up and realized the speaker was none other than Matthias's mother.
But Melissa didn't notice them as she entered the elevator.
Lilian and Patricia had met her before, and upon hearing her words, Patricia seemed to understand something and gave a faint smile.
Wynn paused, then suddenly understood what her grandmother was smiling about.
If all the technological breakthroughs announced at the Velotra press conference had truly come from Celeste, then yes, her current worth could very well be in the hundreds of billions.
Not only that—if she had that kind of talent, she likely had a lot more potential ahead of her.
There was every possibility she would develop new technologies in the future. In other words, if Celeste really was this capable, she was a walking goldmine.
With that level of skill and value, even the most elite of families probably wouldn't care that she'd been divorced.
In that case, how could Melissa possibly not acknowledge the relationship between Celeste and Matthias, and instead still be asking people to introduce other women to him?
The answer was clear—the so-called "technology" Celeste claimed probably wasn't all hers to begin with. There had to be a lot of exaggeration.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Breaking Point of Love (Celeste and Trevor)
Did Trevor shut down the internet? If he does it, he's truly the biggest whore I've ever seen in my life... This guy raised my blood pressure throughout 800 chapters...
ok im done im not reading this trash anymore its repetitive celeste finally speaks and its less than 5 words.this isn't good at all and now we're getting the netizens pov but not hers. EVERYBODY HAS AN OPINION EXCEPT HER AND TREVOR...
I’m not liking where this is headed.. I’m getting the sense that the author is following the revenging husband storyline and Trevor did all this just to avenge his wife...
Isn't this a company that Celeste and Matthias work for? This will be a fatal blow to those scoundrels....
I'm so excited for tomorrow! I wonder what happened to Jo... What is the story behind that court summons?...
A court summons? Oh my God, what happened?...
Here we go again…drip-drop. One page a day instead of the promised 5 Chapters and even that stops suddenly so we never know if the story will advance. I swear this author is writing the new page on their lunch break and laughing at us when we get frustrated....
I feel like reading the novel from everyone else's perspective, but the main characters. There has never been a glimpse on Trevor's side of thoughts or intentions. He feels like a ghost in this whole storyline. Although i am glad that Mathias revealed the truth about Celeste, but it still feels empty without main character's thoughts or feelings or voices being shared....
Wynn's reputation is over. I read all these chapters for this moment... I'm really glad that Matthias finally said everything at once. All thanks to the fool Quinton...
So we're going to keep going in circles atp, nothing was revealed that we didn't already know,I mean I would've at least liked to see Trevor's reaction to finding out his wife is the co-owner and coder to CUAP,find out who drugged them.Whats happening with the military blacksite, how come Celeste is so quiet she never stands up for herself. All we're getting is reaction's from side character's who don't matter...
