Wynn paused her movements with her utensils when she heard Jeffrey's words.
At that moment, Jeffrey continued, "Yes, I'm not joking. Whether it's her looks, her temperament, or her calm personality—she's exactly my type.
"And on top of that, she's so talented. It's like my ideal woman stepped into reality. I have no reason not to like her."
Perhaps because he and Celeste were not officially divorced yet, and it wasn't appropriate to encourage other men to pursue her, Trevor simply smiled and said nothing in response to Jeffrey's words.
Jeffrey had other matters to attend to, so they didn't talk much longer before ending the call.
…
After meeting Jeffrey, Celeste went home to rest for half the day.
Before going to bed that night, she packed all the documents needed for her divorce the next day—her ID card, family record book, etc.—into her bag.
After double-checking that nothing was missing, just as she was about to turn off the lights and sleep, Zachary suddenly called her.
"Get ready. The vehicle will pick you up in ten minutes."
Tomorrow was supposed to be the day she and Trevor finalized their divorce.
Celeste paused for a second. "Prof, I—" She didn't finish her sentence.
"Can I go tomorrow morning instead?"
She had been to the base many times and understood that, for the base, time didn't just equate to a vast, untrackable amount of money—it could also mean the lives of frontline personnel.
Zachary didn't give her the chance to explain. He hung up as soon as he was done speaking.
There weren't many days left in her and Trevor's divorce cooling-off period. She didn't know how long this trip to the base would last.
If she didn't make it back before the end of the cooling-off period, she and Trevor would have to reapply for divorce and go through the whole waiting period again…
Thinking about this, Celeste pressed her lips together and sat there in silence.
Three days later, after pulling three consecutive all-nighters, the engineers in the data center collapsed into sleep the moment they wrapped up the final task.
Celeste was no different.
Her brain felt like it was about to explode. She didn't even have the strength to stand. Like the others, she lay on the desk and quickly drifted off.
She didn't know how long she'd been asleep.
By the time she woke up, the exhaustion hadn't faded much, but at least her mind felt clearer.
After checking the latest data, she was just about to begin the next task when she noticed Caleb sitting nearby, engaged in a conversation.
When he saw she had finally noticed him, Caleb nodded and smiled at her.
Celeste paused for a moment, then politely nodded back.
But she was quickly pulled back into the data that had just come through. Her attention had returned entirely to work.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Breaking Point of Love (Celeste and Trevor)
Did Trevor shut down the internet? If he does it, he's truly the biggest whore I've ever seen in my life... This guy raised my blood pressure throughout 800 chapters...
ok im done im not reading this trash anymore its repetitive celeste finally speaks and its less than 5 words.this isn't good at all and now we're getting the netizens pov but not hers. EVERYBODY HAS AN OPINION EXCEPT HER AND TREVOR...
I’m not liking where this is headed.. I’m getting the sense that the author is following the revenging husband storyline and Trevor did all this just to avenge his wife...
Isn't this a company that Celeste and Matthias work for? This will be a fatal blow to those scoundrels....
I'm so excited for tomorrow! I wonder what happened to Jo... What is the story behind that court summons?...
A court summons? Oh my God, what happened?...
Here we go again…drip-drop. One page a day instead of the promised 5 Chapters and even that stops suddenly so we never know if the story will advance. I swear this author is writing the new page on their lunch break and laughing at us when we get frustrated....
I feel like reading the novel from everyone else's perspective, but the main characters. There has never been a glimpse on Trevor's side of thoughts or intentions. He feels like a ghost in this whole storyline. Although i am glad that Mathias revealed the truth about Celeste, but it still feels empty without main character's thoughts or feelings or voices being shared....
Wynn's reputation is over. I read all these chapters for this moment... I'm really glad that Matthias finally said everything at once. All thanks to the fool Quinton...
So we're going to keep going in circles atp, nothing was revealed that we didn't already know,I mean I would've at least liked to see Trevor's reaction to finding out his wife is the co-owner and coder to CUAP,find out who drugged them.Whats happening with the military blacksite, how come Celeste is so quiet she never stands up for herself. All we're getting is reaction's from side character's who don't matter...
