The Breaking Point of Love (Celeste and Trevor) novel Chapter 456
By the time she finished her work and snapped out of it, Celeste suddenly realized that Caleb had already left his seat without her noticing.
Afterward, Celeste worked day and night for several more days before everything was finally resolved.
She slept for a full 24 hours before she started to feel significantly better. However, compared to before she entered the base, she still looked noticeably paler.
That day, she had mostly just slept and hadn't eaten much at all.
By evening, she started feeling hungry, and as she headed to the cafeteria to get some food, she ran into Caleb coming from the other dormitory wing.
Caleb was slightly surprised to see her. "I thought you had already left the base."
This mission had been a major one, so he could roughly guess when she had arrived. Now that the situation was successfully wrapped up, he assumed she'd left yesterday, having completed her task.
Celeste shook her head. "There's still something I need to handle, so I have to stay a few more days."
She was indeed supposed to leave yesterday, but Zachary still had some matters that required her help to handle personally, so…
Caleb gave her a warm smile and nodded, indicating he understood.
Seeing how drowsy she still looked, he figured she'd probably just woken up after a day-long sleep.
He smiled slightly but didn't ask much. Instead, he asked, "On your way to eat?"
"...Mm."
"Want to go together?"
Given the situation, Celeste couldn't really refuse, so she nodded, "Okay..."
After getting their food, they sat down across from each other.
Caleb watched her.
Caleb looked at her and said softly, "Alright."
Celeste was about to leave, but just as she was turning away, her gaze briefly met his, which made her pause.
She saw the reluctance in his eyes.
She hesitated and lowered her gaze before looking away. After a moment's pause, Celeste softly said "Goodbye" before quickly walking off.
Caleb truly was reluctant to see her go.
Because in the next few days, he would be leaving the base for another assignment elsewhere and wouldn't be back for a while.
By then, Celeste would likely have already left.
Their next meeting probably wouldn't be for another month...

This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
