It was still uncertain when Martha would wake up.
Celeste waited at the hospital with the others for over an hour.
Seeing that Martha still hadn't woken up, Queenie said calmly, "You should go back first. I'll let you know when she wakes up or if there's any update."
Celeste looked at Martha lying on the hospital bed, wearing a ventilator. After checking the time on her phone, she replied, "It's still early. I'd like to wait a little longer."
Hearing this, Queenie didn't say anything more.
Tucker and Teagan also stayed.
Celeste waited until around 11:00 pm. When the doctor said Martha's condition had stabilized a bit but that she wouldn't wake up anytime soon, she finally left to get some rest.
Over an hour after Celeste left, Trevor and Jordyn arrived at the hospital.
Trevor already knew that Celeste had come to visit Martha.
He and Queenie decided to stay and keep her company, while Peter would take Jordyn home to rest.
This was the first time Jordyn had ever faced life and death so directly.
Looking at Martha lying in bed, she clutched Trevor's waist and buried her face in his chest, eyes turning red in fear. "I don't want to go home. I want to see Mom."
Trevor lifted her into his lap and looked at the time. "It's almost 1:00 am. now. She might already be asleep. I need to check with her first."
"Oh, then I'll call—"
"I'll do it," Trevor offered.
"Okay."
Trevor picked up his phone and sent Celeste a message.
"Are you still awake? Jordyn and I are at the hospital. I plan to stay here tonight with Grandma. Jordyn is scared after seeing her condition and wants to go to you. Is that okay?"
Celeste hadn't gone to bed yet. Though it was late, she couldn't sleep, worried about Martha.
When she was about the same age as Jordyn, her own grandfather had suffered a major accident too.
So, when she saw Trevor's message, she immediately understood and empathized with Jordyn's fear and helplessness.
She replied, "Let her come."

The next morning, Martha still hadn't woken up.
After informing the housekeeper, Celeste and Betty brought Jordyn to the hospital to visit her again.
Trevor must have really been busy.
When they arrived a little after eight, he was already discussing business with Zeke, and several documents were spread out in front of him.
When he saw them arrive, the two paused their conversation. Trevor stood up and greeted them, "You're here."
Celeste gave a soft hum in response. Trevor then greeted Betty, "Madam Klein."
She merely nodded coldly and went inside to check on Martha.
Celeste had a meeting later that morning, so after seeing Martha, she planned to head to the office.
But Jordyn clung to her and said, "Mom, I want to stay with you. Can I go to work with you?"

I just need an effing glimpse to what goes around in Trevor's mind. Author - do something about it please There is not even a single mention about what Trevor really wants - interested in Celeste? If yes, then why there is no reaction on seeing people courting Celeste...
I love the story bt really death slow... Y cant you post 5 to 10 chapters per day????...
This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
