Wynn gave a faint smile and said, "The matter was taken care of, so I came over."
In reality, she hadn't felt at ease. The meeting wasn't even halfway through before she left InnovaTech.
She knew that Trevor didn't need to attend the meeting Celeste was participating in today, but just as she expected, he had indeed come down from upstairs specifically to sit in on Celeste's meeting.
Thinking about that made her feel sour inside, and her expression turned somewhat stiff.
Trevor checked the time. "I have a video meeting in about ten minutes. It'll take over an hour. Want to come upstairs with me and sit for a while?"
"Okay."
…
Wynn returned to the Locket residence in the afternoon.
When Patricia saw her, she asked, "Why are you back so early? Didn't you and Trevor go out for a meal?"
"He had things to take care of."
"I see."
Wynn looked tired. After kicking off her shoes, she was about to go upstairs to rest when Lilian noticed her expression and asked, "Did something happen? You haven't seemed in a good mood lately."
Wynn paused briefly, then replied as if nothing was wrong, "Nothing. Just a little tired."
Lately, there had indeed been a lot going on in InnovaTech, and there hadn't been any breakthroughs in their core technology. It made sense for her to feel frustrated.
Because of this, Lilian didn't press the issue. She simply asked someone to make some nourishing food and told Wynn to come eat.
Janet had already come home from work.
When Wynn sat down next to her, she greeted her, "Wynn."
Wynn responded with a brief hum.
"True that," Linda, still in a bad mood, felt slightly better after hearing this gossip and chimed in, "What's the point of a woman being capable and talented if that's all she has?
"Over time, a man will get tired of that. Landon getting bored is only natural."
Wynn had been listening half-heartedly, just to kill time. But hearing this part, she suddenly paused and looked up.
Celeste really was outstanding in her field. But apart from her professional ability, in every other aspect—she couldn't compare to Wynn.
Even if Trevor didn't yet know that Celeste was a student of Zachary, he already knew quite a bit about her strength.
Still, at most, he had shown a bit more appreciation for her than before—nothing more…
But then she remembered what happened that morning when she went to Fleming Group.
From the moment Trevor found out she had arrived, he hadn't looked at Celeste even once—he simply took her upstairs right away.
The dark cloud that had hung over Wynn's head for days suddenly vanished. A smile finally appeared on her face.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Breaking Point of Love (Celeste and Trevor)
I’m not liking where this is headed.. I’m getting the sense that the author is following the revenging husband storyline and Trevor did all this just to avenge his wife...
Isn't this a company that Celeste and Matthias work for? This will be a fatal blow to those scoundrels....
I'm so excited for tomorrow! I wonder what happened to Jo... What is the story behind that court summons?...
A court summons? Oh my God, what happened?...
Here we go again…drip-drop. One page a day instead of the promised 5 Chapters and even that stops suddenly so we never know if the story will advance. I swear this author is writing the new page on their lunch break and laughing at us when we get frustrated....
I feel like reading the novel from everyone else's perspective, but the main characters. There has never been a glimpse on Trevor's side of thoughts or intentions. He feels like a ghost in this whole storyline. Although i am glad that Mathias revealed the truth about Celeste, but it still feels empty without main character's thoughts or feelings or voices being shared....
Wynn's reputation is over. I read all these chapters for this moment... I'm really glad that Matthias finally said everything at once. All thanks to the fool Quinton...
So we're going to keep going in circles atp, nothing was revealed that we didn't already know,I mean I would've at least liked to see Trevor's reaction to finding out his wife is the co-owner and coder to CUAP,find out who drugged them.Whats happening with the military blacksite, how come Celeste is so quiet she never stands up for herself. All we're getting is reaction's from side character's who don't matter...
Yes.. I'm looking forward to the upcoming chapters......
I don't really understand the writer. Why are Trevor and Celeste silent now? Isn't it about them?...
