When she heard this, Celeste finally understood that Trevor had hurried off yesterday because of Wynn.
She had long known and grown used to how much Trevor cared about Wynn.
She also knew that Linda's words were deliberately meant for her to hear.
Expressionless, she walked past Linda and the others, entering the elevator first.
It was only when they saw the floor Celeste pressed that Linda, Patricia, and the rest realized she was here to visit Martha.
They were aware of Martha's illness. Although they hadn't had the chance to personally visit her in the hospital, they knew she was also staying here.
They knew, yes—but they didn't know exactly which ward she was in. In fact, they had secretly asked around about it the night before.
So, when they saw which floor Celeste was going to, they immediately understood that she was here to see Martha.
The Lockets and the Shaws had actually never met Martha before.
Although they had managed to find out her exact room number, they were cautious and didn't dare barge in, for fear of offending her.
Now, seeing that someone they wanted to meet but couldn't approach was someone Celeste could see so casually, Lilian and Patricia immediately felt uneasy.
Linda even shot Celeste a fierce glare.
There were still other people in the elevator, so she didn't start criticizing her right away.
Once they stepped out, she ground her teeth and muttered, "She and Trev are about to divorce, yet she still clings to Mrs. Fleming Senior. Shameless!"
Then, as if suddenly struck by another thought, she added, "She's sticking close to Mrs. Fleming Senior so she can stir trouble behind the scenes and make Trev's family dislike Wynn!"
Lilian and Patricia thought the same.
When they recalled that despite Martha's grave illness, the Fleming family still wouldn't let Trevor bring Wynn to visit her, Lilian's gaze grew cold.
Meanwhile, Martha had just finished her check-up and was overjoyed to see Celeste arrive.
While chatting with her, Celeste took the flowers she had brought and arranged them in a vase on the small round table by the window.
Once the flowers were in place, she glanced down out the window and spotted Trevor in the parking lot.
Celeste responded with a faint hum and then turned back to bid farewell to Martha.
Trevor said, "Leaving so soon?"
Martha snorted. "Soon? Cel's been here for over half an hour already. Do you think she's like you, always showing up this late?"
Celeste didn't reply to him. After saying goodbye again to Martha, she turned to leave.
Before she stepped out, she heard Martha say to Trevor, "Good thing Cel stayed to chat with me for half an hour and kept me company. Now that you're here, you can talk with me for a while too."
Just before she exited the room completely, she heard Trevor say, "I'm leaving on a business trip in a bit. I need to head to the airport in a few minutes."
So, he had time for Wynn but not for Martha?
It wasn't that he didn't care about her.
On the contrary, having known him for so many years, Celeste knew very well that he cared deeply for Martha.
It was just that, in the little free time he had, most of it was devoted to Wynn—because he cared deeply for her too.

I just need an effing glimpse to what goes around in Trevor's mind. Author - do something about it please There is not even a single mention about what Trevor really wants - interested in Celeste? If yes, then why there is no reaction on seeing people courting Celeste...
I love the story bt really death slow... Y cant you post 5 to 10 chapters per day????...
This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
