Wynn glanced over as well.
She, too, had once thought that Matthias and Celeste were in that kind of relationship. But after learning about Celeste's true connection with Zachary and YodaVision, she was no longer so sure.
She also noticed that after Miles asked his question, Trevor turned to look at Beck—as if he too cared about the answer.
Wynn pressed her lips together.
Miles noticed the gesture, but assumed Trevor was merely curious.
Beck, however, fell silent for a moment before finally saying, "Why don't you go ask her yourself?"
Miles froze, slightly thrown off. He took that as a sign that Beck simply wasn't interested in gossip about Celeste and Matthias.
Finding no one to join his line of gossip, he pursed his lips in boredom.
Wynn, on the other hand, caught the deeper meaning. Her lips curved ever so faintly in a mocking smile.
If she hadn't known about Beck's feelings toward Celeste, she might have thought, like Miles, that his silence meant disinterest.
But the very fact that he said nothing—that in itself was already a form of protection.
That thought triggered a flash of insight. She suddenly realized there was a question she had overlooked all this time.
The fact that Celeste was Zachary's student and one of YodaVision's founders—perhaps Beck had known all along. He simply chose not to reveal it.
At that moment, Harold and several political figures arrived.
Of the group, the only one with a close personal connection to Celeste and Matthias was Harold.
Theodore, Rowan, and Kael did not come.
Theodore's absence was understandable, and Rowan and Kael had no open dealings with Celeste and Matthias.
The two of them were just about to excuse themselves from Harold so they could personally welcome their mentor and his wife, when Zachary and Nadine walked straight toward them.
Nadine was especially warm. The moment she saw them, she let go of Zachary's arm and opened her own to them.
"Cece, Matt—we're here!"
Celeste and Matthias hurried forward to embrace her, greeting in unison, "Mrs. Newman."
Jorge, of course, also recognized Nadine. But when he heard the way Celeste greeted her, he froze for a moment.
A beat later, he convinced himself that Celeste must be using that title because her marriage to Matthias was imminent.
After hugging Nadine, Celeste and Matthias turned to the man beside her. "Prof."
Zachary gave a brief nod. "Mm."

I just need an effing glimpse to what goes around in Trevor's mind. Author - do something about it please There is not even a single mention about what Trevor really wants - interested in Celeste? If yes, then why there is no reaction on seeing people courting Celeste...
I love the story bt really death slow... Y cant you post 5 to 10 chapters per day????...
This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
