Wynn and Trevor arrived at the restaurant almost at the same time.
Just as they were about to enter, they ran into Hugh Lytton, the man Trevor was supposed to meet that morning.
Hugh clearly didn't mind at all that Trevor had suddenly changed the time of their meeting.
When he saw him, he came over warmly and greeted him, saying proactively, "I watched the press conference this morning. Everyone in and outside the industry is full of praise. Congratulations."
Trevor said, "Thank you. About our meeting—"
"With Fleming Group achieving such a major technical breakthrough, it's only natural for you to attend the press conference in person. I completely understand. No need to worry about it."
Earlier, when she watched Fleming Group's press conference, Wynn already knew that Trevor actually didn't need to be there.
Otherwise, he wouldn't have had time now to join her and Miles for a meal. He would've been tied up with post–press conference social obligations.
But hearing this now, she suddenly realized that Trevor really did rearrange his schedule just to attend this morning's press conference...
Hugh had an appointment waiting, so after a bit of small talk with Trevor, he ended the conversation and left.

After wrapping up the work for Fleming Group, and finally getting a rest day, Celeste thought she could finally take a breather.
However, early Saturday morning, she received a call from Jordyn, who said she wanted to go out for a meal and shop.
Although Celeste was tired, she wasn't tired to the point that she couldn't handle a bit of going out. She just... didn't really want to go out.
Jordyn probably sensed this and said, "Mom, we'll only be out for half the day. Just lunch, then a little shopping, and we'll come home."
"...Okay."
A little past eleven, Jordyn's car arrived at the Rodriguez residence.
When Celeste saw the car, she grabbed her bag and stepped out—only to find that Trevor was sitting inside too.
Celeste glanced toward Trevor, then picked up her own phone and sent him a message.
"Next time Jordyn makes this kind of request, tell me beforehand. I'll figure out a way."
Trevor lowered his eyes when he saw her message. Instead of replying on his phone, he simply spoke aloud, "Alright, got it."
Hearing him speak suddenly, Jordyn looked up from her phone. "Hm? Dad, what did you say?"
Trevor smiled. "Nothing."
"Okay."
At the restaurant, after placing their order, Trevor looked at Celeste and said, "I reviewed the key points of the new technical breakthrough. I think—"
Celeste didn't look up and certainly didn't look at him. "I don't want to talk about work right now."
Trevor looked at her, but didn't mind her coldness. He poured her a glass of water, set it in front of her, and asked with a light smile, "Alright. Then what do you want to talk about?"

I know everyone will not agree with me and I also know that Trevor is a trash and all but I want Trevor and Celeste to get back together. They should be the end game and for that to happen Trevor should start working hard for that second chance....
So we're going to go on for another 15 chapter's about jordan's temper tantrum with neither of the parents asking her what's wrong..stop milking it. The only reason i'm still reading is because i cant leave a book unfinished. What I'm pissed about is the book started with promise and turned into a circus....
The story should just come to an end and the writer should give their reader the closure they deserve. There's no point in keeping the story going. It's been the same since the start. Not has changed. The initial story plot was, that Celeste and Trevor are getting devorce and still after 800 + chapter, they are still heading for a devorce....
Don’t Shaws and Lockets reflect ever on themselves? Every difficult situation, they look forward to Wynn to ask for Trevor to help. Initially the focus of the novel was on how Wynn is so accomplished blah blah and now - she is just a useless person, incapable of anything. Irritating storyline...
I'm starting to get bored and I can't predict exactly where the story is headed....
Beck being the only actual adult to ask a child what’s wrong...

Wynn has no shame. And keeping the staff well beyond their work hours is an a-hole move....
I am again fed up with the storyline..it is just exhausting to keep reading only one side of story - where people are living in their own righteous bubble and assumptions....
