Celeste was speechless.
What exactly was there for them to talk about? Was he genuinely clueless, or just pretending?
Just then, Jordyn happened to pull Celeste into a conversation, so Celeste simply ignored Trevor and continued focusing only on Jordyn.
Trevor didn't force any more conversation either, but once the dishes started arriving, he took the initiative to place food into Celeste's plate.
Celeste paused. After realizing what he was doing, she said lightly, "I can do it myself."
Since Trevor was also helping Jordyn with food, Jordyn didn't understand why her mom wouldn't let him help her. She said, "Mom, just let Dad pick the food for you."
Celeste became quiet.
Trevor laughed and placed another piece of meat onto her plate.
The server happened to enter just then with more dishes. The private room door was still open, and Lilian, Patricia, together with Ruby and Linda, happened to pass by at that exact moment. They saw and heard the exchange clearly—Trevor was picking food for Celeste voluntarily.
All of them froze for a moment.
But Celeste, Trevor, and Jordyn didn't notice them at all.
The server did notice them, though.
But before the server could say anything, Lilian snapped back to her senses and supported Patricia as they kept walking.
Linda pursed her lips and followed along with Ruby.
Once they entered their own private room, Ruby couldn't help speaking, "Didn't people say Trevor really hated Celeste? But from the last time we ran into them, and just now too... he seems to be treating her pretty well. That's—"
Linda immediately understood what her mother meant.
She snorted dismissively. "Do we even need to spell it out? Trev is obviously putting on an act in front of that brat! Mom, you don't actually think he's developed feelings for that bitch, right? How is that even possible!"
Ruby laughed. "That's true."
When Lilian and Patricia first saw Trevor taking the initiative to treat Celeste well, they had felt a moment of panic. But honestly, even before Linda spelled it out, they had already figured it out.
So, they quickly calmed down, called the server in, and started ordering.
When they went home that day, they told Wynn everything—running into Trevor, Celeste, and Jordyn, and especially the part about Trevor actively treating Celeste well.
The Shaw family assumed Wynn didn't care.
Linda couldn't help complaining, "If you ask me, Trev just cares too much about that brat. If it weren't for her, why would he have to endure the disgust of acting affectionate with Celeste?"
Ruby agreed. "Exactly."
Wynn listened, lowered her eyes, and said nothing.

I just need an effing glimpse to what goes around in Trevor's mind. Author - do something about it please There is not even a single mention about what Trevor really wants - interested in Celeste? If yes, then why there is no reaction on seeing people courting Celeste...
I love the story bt really death slow... Y cant you post 5 to 10 chapters per day????...
This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
