Celeste withdrew her gaze after some time and was lowering her head to check her phone while nibbling her snack slowly when a young man suddenly walked over.
"Hi, excuse me... Could I get your number?"
Celeste looked up and replied calmly, "Sorry, it's not a good idea."
The man paused, then asked, "Is it because you already have a boyfriend?"
Celeste didn't want to continue this conversation.
She frowned slightly, just about to reject him outright, when Trevor and Jordyn returned.
"Mom!" Jordyn called out happily.
Celeste answered softly, "Mm."
The young man heard Jordyn call her "Mom" and saw her throw herself into Celeste's arms. Then he glanced at Trevor.
With his striking looks and composed presence, Trevor was clearly not an ordinary man.
And Jordyn looked very much like him...
Realization dawned on the young man. He quickly muttered, "Sorry," and walked away.
Jordyn looked at Celeste curiously. "Mom, who was that man?"
"Someone I don't know."
"Oh."
Trevor watched all of this without a word. After putting away the kite, he finally asked, "Let's have a barbecue later?"
It was obviously directed at Celeste. So, she responded lightly, "Sure."
The ingredients had already been prepped in advance, so starting their own barbecue wasn't troublesome.
During the meal, Trevor was mostly focused on tending to Jordyn's needs.
Jordyn loved fish. After tasting it and finding it nice, she said to Celeste, "Mom, this fish is really good. You should try it!"
Before Celeste could reply, Trevor had already put some onto her plate.
After tucking her in, he looked toward Celeste standing outside the tent. "Not going to rest a bit?"
Before she could answer, he added, "You should get some rest."
Then he stood up and stepped out of the tent, giving her space, and went to sit under the shade umbrella.
Celeste stood there, glanced at him. Just then, he also looked her way. Before she spoke, he said,
"You should stay with her for a while. If you suddenly leave and she wakes up without seeing you, she'll be sad."
Celeste paused.
She hadn't said anything yet, but he already knew exactly what she had been thinking.
As she was processing this, Jordyn suddenly murmured "Mom..." in her sleep.
Celeste froze for a second. Before she could react, Jordyn suddenly opened her eyes—half awake—and reached toward her sleepily with her hands.
"Mom, sleep with me..."

The readers' comments on the novel: The Breaking Point of Love (Celeste and Trevor)
I feel like reading the novel from everyone else's perspective, but the main characters. There has never been a glimpse on Trevor's side of thoughts or intentions. He feels like a ghost in this whole storyline. Although i am glad that Mathias revealed the truth about Celeste, but it still feels empty without main character's thoughts or feelings or voices being shared....
Wynn's reputation is over. I read all these chapters for this moment... I'm really glad that Matthias finally said everything at once. All thanks to the fool Quinton...
So we're going to keep going in circles atp, nothing was revealed that we didn't already know,I mean I would've at least liked to see Trevor's reaction to finding out his wife is the co-owner and coder to CUAP,find out who drugged them.Whats happening with the military blacksite, how come Celeste is so quiet she never stands up for herself. All we're getting is reaction's from side character's who don't matter...
Yes.. I'm looking forward to the upcoming chapters......
I don't really understand the writer. Why are Trevor and Celeste silent now? Isn't it about them?...
Who the helly is georgette 😆...
Alas..the truth that has been buried since…is prevailing....
I just love how tables have turned....
About time… now where’s Trevor, Harvey’s and the others public shame???...
After this moment, the day of the downfall of the Shaw and Lockett families began....
