As the elder, Ivan was the first to speak. "Thank you for bringing Jo over. You've been standing for so long—you both must be tired. Go home and rest."
Before Trevor could respond, Jordyn went straight to hug Celeste. "I don't want to go home. Mom, I want to stay here with you."
With how critical the situation had been earlier, everyone in the family had thought the old lady might not make it.
Sensing her mother's anxiety, Jordyn wanted to stay by her side.
Facing Jordyn's small, eager eyes, Celeste paused. Her expression softened with a mix of emotions.
She gently touched Jordyn's cheek. "I have to stay in the hospital to take care of your granny. I won't be able to look after you. Go home with Dad first."
"Okay... Then I'll come tomorrow to see you and Granny."
Celeste nodded. "Alright."
Then she turned to Trevor. "Take Jo home."
He didn't say anything extra—only asked, "Should we tell Grandma?"
Celeste shook her head lightly.
Martha was elderly too. With the situation still unstable, even if they told her, she could only worry helplessly.
Trevor understood. He said nothing more, exchanged a nod with Ivan, and left with Jordyn.
Betty's condition still wasn't stable. She was still in critical condition.
Celeste and the others spoke with the doctor for quite a while, carefully understanding every detail. After that, she called Nadine.
Nadine was busy and only saw the call and messages half an hour later. "Alright, I'll help you contact a few specialists. Don't panic, Cece. Your grandma will be fine."
After hanging up, it didn't take long before someone arrived at the hospital asking to review her grandmother's condition.
And among all these people, the only one who had the connections and the ability to summon this many specialist doctors was also Trevor.
Nadine asked, "Have things improved between you two?"
Celeste snapped back and replied calmly, "No."
Nadine understood the relationship between Betty and Martha. Hearing that, she assumed Trevor stepped in for Martha's sake and didn't press further. After a bit more conversation, she hung up.
Even though Celeste knew he did it for Martha's sake, after ending the call, she still sent him a message.
"Dr. Landry and her team have arrived. Thank you."
Trevor replied quickly. "You're welcome."
Celeste then put down her phone. Trevor didn't send anything else either.

Very slow in updating chapters😔.... Tat too only one... It vil be useful if updates have 5 chap a day or atleast 3 per day...
I am getting frustrated with story, what is the point in dragging this on? How come Celeste is always portrayed as the villain when she hasn’t done anything wrong? Get on with outing Wynn, I’m sick of her!...
😍😍😍😍😍eagerly waiting fr next chapters...
Y only one chapter per day🤥 vry sad...
Why am i reading this novel still? In what hope, seriously? To have Trevor regret his choices? To get some clarity or closure on so many gaps this novel offers? To have Shaws & Lockets ever face repercussions? To get clarity on Celeste's mother life? Because seriously, 720+ chapters gone by and from last 350 chapter - there has been no significant progress, the story has been playing around in loops. This is just sad...
