That night, Celeste stayed in the hospital and barely slept, only managing a little over an hour at dawn.
When she woke up and had just splashed some water on her face, Trevor and Jordyn arrived.
Trevor said, "Jo wanted to come see you."
After that, he walked past her into the ward, set the food container on the small round table by the balcony, and glanced at Betty lying inside with a ventilator. "She's still not awake?"
Celeste shook her head.
Trevor didn't ask further. And since Jordyn still had to go to school, the two of them left shortly after.
That evening, after school, they came again.
Celeste didn't expect them to show up this often—while Jordyn coming made sense, Trevor coming along every time was... unexpected.
Watching Jordyn cling to her, looking up with those trusting, dependent eyes, Celeste could feel clearly how attached Jordyn was to her, and how much she cared about her great-grandmother.
She understood Jordyn's feelings, but still...
She turned to Trevor and said, "Jo is still young. It's not good for her to keep coming to the hospital. You should pay attention to that."
Trevor replied, "Alright."
That night, Adeline took the shift staying with Betty. Celeste returned to the hospital the next morning.
When she arrived, she had barely stepped out of the car when she spotted Linda, Lilian, and Erin.
They all looked surprised to see her.
However, Celeste pretended not to notice them, picked up her food container, and headed straight upstairs.
By the time she got to the ward, Yulia, Quinella and their team had just finished reviewing the latest test results.
Still, hearing him say that, Yullia wasn't the only one who froze for a second.
Celeste's eyebrows furrowed slightly.
But given the situation, she couldn't interrupt.
After the brief shock, Yullia asked, "When did you two get married? I never heard you mention it."
"Many years ago. Let me treat everyone to a meal another day," Trevor said.
After chatting a little longer, Trevor and Celeste personally walked them to the elevator.
None of them noticed that not far away, Linda, Lilian, and Erin had witnessed everything—
including the entire conversation between Trevor and the doctors.

I love the story bt really death slow... Y cant you post 5 to 10 chapters per day????...
This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
