Losing the bid was disappointing, of course. But they had other worries beyond that.
For instance, the project Locket Tech had been developing with Trevor's help had once again hit a bottleneck. Continuing R&D meant more funding, and that had once again become a problem.
Not just Locket Tech, but InnovaTech was also facing the same situation.
If cash flow couldn't keep up, all the projects currently in progress would be affected.
But right now, they simply didn't have that kind of capital.

Celeste knew nothing about what had been happening between Trevor and Wynn.
After winning the bid, she was so busy that she even worked overtime on Saturday.
On Sunday, when she finally had a day off, Jordyn showed up at the Rodriguez residence early in the morning.
Celeste had been exhausted the day before and woke up late. However, Jordyn didn't wake her. Instead, she waited obediently in her room.
When Celeste finally opened her eyes, Jordyn immediately burrowed into her arms.
"Mom, you're awake! Are you hungry? Dad's downstairs. He wants to talk to you."
Celeste had still been groggy from sleep, but those words cleared her head instantly.
Jordyn's arrival had been sudden.
None of the other Rodriguez family members were home.
About ten minutes later, Celeste went downstairs and saw Trevor sitting in the living room, drinking tea.
When he saw her, he greeted her calmly, as if nothing were amiss. "You're up."

After a brief pause, Celeste asked, "When?"
"He just arrived in Baumond yesterday. We're having lunch together. Want to come along?"
"Alright."
It was already past ten, and she hadn't even had breakfast yet. She said, "Send me the address. I'll—"
Before she could finish, Trevor looked at her and said, "I'll wait for you."
Celeste paused, then replied evenly, "No need. I'll go on my own."

I just need an effing glimpse to what goes around in Trevor's mind. Author - do something about it please There is not even a single mention about what Trevor really wants - interested in Celeste? If yes, then why there is no reaction on seeing people courting Celeste...
I love the story bt really death slow... Y cant you post 5 to 10 chapters per day????...
This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
