The three of them spent nearly two hours over the meal.
Afterward, Quincy wanted to introduce Celeste to several other people in charge of related projects, so they changed venues.
After arriving at the new location, Trevor still sat beside her.
Perhaps because both Trevor and Quincy treated her with great courtesy, or perhaps because her capabilities were already well recognized in the industry, the other project leads were also very polite to her.

As dusk approached, Trevor's phone suddenly rang.
Seeing the caller ID, he glanced at Celeste before answering. "Jo, what's wrong?"
Celeste hadn't paid attention to who he was talking to at first. When she realized it was Jordyn calling, the movement of her hand holding the teacup paused slightly.
At that moment, Jordyn was in Trevor's room.
She had rummaged through the room so thoroughly that it was a complete mess.
Holding her phone, eyes red, she asked, "Where are your and Mom's marriage certificates? I've searched both your room and Mom's room and couldn't find them. You—you didn't secretly get divorced behind my back, did you?"
Trevor's gaze darkened slightly. He didn't ask why she suddenly brought this up.
Instead, he spoke unhurriedly, "No. The certificates are with your mom. If you want to know where they are, why don't you call and ask her?"
When Jordyn couldn't find their marriage certificates earlier, she truly thought they had divorced behind her back, and her eyes had instantly reddened.
Hearing Trevor say this, she finally felt relieved. She wiped her tears and asked, "Really?"
Trevor smiled. "Why would I lie to you? You'll know once you ask your mom."
Jordyn snorted softly, said nothing more, and hung up.
After speaking, she paused for half a second and asked, "Why are you suddenly concerned about this? Did something happen?"
At the mention of this, Jordyn pouted.

She lowered her eyes and fell silent.

This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
