After a brief pause, Celeste said calmly, "But I have to go on a business trip tomorrow."
"Huh? Another business trip?" Jordyn looked disappointed.
Celeste hummed a response and rubbed her head gently. "It's getting late. Go back and rest with your dad first. When I get back from the trip, I'll talk to you then."
Jordyn pouted. "Okay..."
At that moment, Trevor suddenly spoke up, "How many days?"
Celeste felt that he was asking because he was concerned about when she would be back, so they could reapply for the marriage certificate and proceed with the divorce.
"Probably two to three days," she said.
Trevor nodded, his attitude fairly gentle. "Alright. Have a safe trip."
After that, he left with Jordyn and got into the car.
Not long after Trevor and Jordyn returned home, Miles called. "I heard you're back? Finally done with work?"
"Not that fast," Trevor replied as he watched Jordyn go upstairs, then sat down on the sofa.
Miles then said, "So, you're not free to have a meal together tomorrow either?"
"I am free tomorrow," Trevor said.
Hearing that, Miles's expression finally improved a little. But as if something occurred to him, he asked, "So, tomorrow morning, are you going to the courthouse with Celeste again to apply for the divorce?"
"She's not free tomorrow. She's going on a business trip," Trevor replied.
"Another business trip? Then when are you two actually going to get divorced? Honestly, you've been dragging this out for a really long time. If it weren't for worrying about the impact, I'd have already advised you to sue for divorce."
Trevor leisurely flipped through the newspaper and abruptly changed the subject. "Where are we eating tomorrow?"

Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...

I read this novel recently. I just feel, it is exhausting being in Celeste shoes. Not getting a clear break, on the other side - Trevor is comfortably two timing and dragging. He is not really worth and should face the consequences. On the other hand, i also feel that probably he is putting on a mask to push Celeste to achieve her dreams and eventually became a hero. However, his attitude and physical relationship with Wynn - is not justifying my this theory. Let's just wait and watch, i hope it is not too much of a drag...
Depressing if Trevor give up Celeste and propose to his mistress! Poor Jordyn. Thank goodness,I am busy with patients' issues. I can stop here....
Will it make difference to Trevor if he knows how his mistress family malign the mother of his daughter even if he and Celeste are divorcing for his mistress?...
