The next day, just as Wynn was thinking of finding a chance to contact Trevor to ask whether he had time to come over and have lunch with them, Jordyn's phone buzzed.
"It's a message from Dad," Jordyn said.
Before Wynn could react, she heard Jordyn continue, "Dad says he still has things to deal with, so he won't be coming over to have a meal with us."

Not only did Trevor not come over to eat lunch with them, but when Jordyn got tired in the afternoon and wanted to go home, Trevor directly arranged for a car to come and pick her up.

Celeste was momentarily stunned when he suddenly held her hand. But after reacting, she calmly withdrew it and said, "Thank you, I will."
Miles was usually a very talkative person.
Today, however, he was unusually quiet.
There was no other reason for it other than the fact that this was the first time he had seen Celeste and Trevor discussing work in such a purely businesslike manner.
The way they looked now seemed like they were completely unfamiliar with each other. No one would be able to tell that they were husband and wife—let alone a couple with a six-year-old child.
In fact, he was willing to bet that Kieran hadn't noticed it either. Otherwise—
At first, when he saw how attentive Kieran was toward Celeste, he hadn't thought much of it. But the more he watched, the more something felt off, and it didn't take long for him to confirm that Kieran genuinely had feelings for Celeste.

I think there wont be a closure anytime soon, with the speed with which the story is flowing. New characters are being introduced, sides and opinions are being formed blindly - yet no one is ever discussing anything with each other. This is by far the most frustrating novel i have read and yet, come back for an update in a hope that there may be something in reader's favor now. Sigh! There is nothing. If author doesn't want to take Celeste Trevor route, then let Celeste move on like Trevor has. Enough with this beating around the bush....

I can't even believe there are almost 800 chapters and absolutely no story line advances. Basically Trevor is absolute trash and deserves to be mocked and scorned because of his cheating nature, bringing his mistress around like he's single and flaunting the billions he spends on her as if he is not already married for 7 years. Celeste deserves everyone to know her story and be free of this loser....

Why am i reading this novel still? In what hope, seriously? To have Trevor regret his choices? To get some clarity or closure on so many gaps this novel offers? To have Shaws & Lockets ever face repercussions? To get clarity on Celeste's mother life?
