Beck didn't respond.
Neither did Wynn.
Miles had thought that what he said in the Harper Corporation chat would pique everyone's interest.
Instead, after the message had been sent for quite a while, no one paid him any attention.
He typed, "Where is everyone? Hello? Anyone there?"
Beck saw it and only then replied, "Busy."
Wynn watched the exchange and, after a long pause, replied as well, "Busy."
At that moment, Trevor finally replied, "No time."
Miles was dumbfounded. "Everyone's that busy?"
Trevor replied, "Yeah. Talk next time."
After sending that message, Trevor didn't reappear in the chat.
Beck really was busy. After exchanging a couple of lines with Miles, he stopped responding as well.
Wynn saw that Trevor had briefly shown up and then gone offline. She didn't send any more messages to Harper Corporation either. She simply stared at the screen, looking somewhat absent-minded.
Ever since two days ago, when she hadn't told Trevor, but had privately contacted Jacob to corner him at the dinner, and had tried to kiss him in the car, only to be rejected and then failed to reach him again the following day, she hadn't contacted Trevor at all.
It wasn't that she felt awkward about what happened that day. She just felt that she shouldn't appear in front of Trevor too frequently.
"Wynn?"
While she was lost in thought, Lilian and Ruby returned.
Wynn nodded. Before she could say anything, someone said, "You're back."
"Mm." Harvey nodded as he sat down.
"We ran into an acquaintance just now and heard that the invitations for Beck's company banquet have already been sent out. Did Beck mention anything to you about the Harper Corporation's banquet this year?"
With the New Year approaching, partly because of Trevor, they had been receiving quite a few banquet invitations over the past couple of days.

Ruby and Linda's expressions immediately turned ugly.
Especially Linda—she bit her lip, her eyes reddening, and quickly ran upstairs.
To be honest, Harvey and Lilian hadn't expected Beck to care so much about Linda's matter.
They had thought that no matter what, he would still send them an invitation for Wynn's sake.
Who would have thought...
That said, if Beck had sent the invitation, Linda really might have ended up going along as well.

Ruby's expression didn't look good, but this time it really was her daughter's fault, so she didn't say anything.
Wynn knew very well that the real reason Beck hadn't sent invitations to either the Lockets or the Shaws this year wasn't because of Linda.
In truth, he was using the incident with Linda as a pretext to draw a clear line between himself and her.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Breaking Point of Love (Celeste and Trevor)
Another saviour debt?? Seriously?...
I just need an effing glimpse to what goes around in Trevor's mind. Author - do something about it please There is not even a single mention about what Trevor really wants - interested in Celeste? If yes, then why there is no reaction on seeing people courting Celeste...
I love the story bt really death slow... Y cant you post 5 to 10 chapters per day????...
This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
My fav novel post us more chap per day...
