When Kieran heard that Beck had come to meet Celeste, he had wanted to drop by and sit in, but he was too busy that day to get away.
When the discussion was mostly wrapped up, Beck suggested having a meal together, and Celeste agreed.
At the restaurant, after chatting about other matters for a while, Beck suddenly said, "I heard Mr. and Mrs. Fleming… have finally agreed to their relationship."
Caught off guard by the shift in topic, Celeste paused for a moment before realizing what he meant. Her expression remained calm as she nodded.
Queenie and Lincoln had always valued family background and reputation. For them to suddenly relent, it was likely because of how Wynn had risked her life to save Trevor not long ago.
But none of that had anything to do with her anymore.
Still, since Queenie and Lincoln had given their approval, it was likely that the divorce would finally go through smoothly.

After the meal, when they were leaving, they ran into Harvey, Lilian, and their group.
Harvey smiled. "Beck, what a coincidence."
Beck nodded and greeted them politely. "Mr. Locket, Mrs. Locket."
The table was lively.
Just as Celeste set her glass down, her phone beside her vibrated a few times. She picked it up and glanced at it.
With just one look, she saw the incoming message clearly.
"Trev's parents have already agreed to their marriage. Today, they even had him bring her to meet them."
Matthias, who had leaned over to speak with her, also saw the message.
He smiled with a trace of coldness. "So, Mr. Fleming has agreed to let them be together?"
Yes. That was exactly what the message said.
Matthias took her phone and unlocked it.
It turned out that besides the text, the sender had also sent two photos.

I think there wont be a closure anytime soon, with the speed with which the story is flowing. New characters are being introduced, sides and opinions are being formed blindly - yet no one is ever discussing anything with each other. This is by far the most frustrating novel i have read and yet, come back for an update in a hope that there may be something in reader's favor now. Sigh! There is nothing. If author doesn't want to take Celeste Trevor route, then let Celeste move on like Trevor has. Enough with this beating around the bush....

I can't even believe there are almost 800 chapters and absolutely no story line advances. Basically Trevor is absolute trash and deserves to be mocked and scorned because of his cheating nature, bringing his mistress around like he's single and flaunting the billions he spends on her as if he is not already married for 7 years. Celeste deserves everyone to know her story and be free of this loser....

Why am i reading this novel still? In what hope, seriously? To have Trevor regret his choices? To get some clarity or closure on so many gaps this novel offers? To have Shaws & Lockets ever face repercussions? To get clarity on Celeste's mother life? Because seriously, 720+ chapters gone by and from last 350 chapter - there has been no significant progress, the story has been playing around in loops. This is just sad...
