Jordyn had been staying at the Rodriguez residence for the past few days. She showed no intention of leaving, even on the weekends.
Trevor hadn't said anything about coming to pick her up either.
Not long ago, Celeste had submitted another paper to a top-tier international journal. It passed review with ease and was scheduled for official publication early Sunday morning.
But she didn't stay up waiting. She went to bed early on Saturday night.
…
When she woke up the next morning and turned on her phone, it was flooded with missed calls and messages.
Celeste glanced through them and returned Matthias's call first.
He picked up almost immediately. "You're awake."
Celeste hummed a response.
"You probably know why I called. Your latest paper caused quite a stir right after publication. Congratulations," he said with a smile.
"Thank you."
Matthias was genuinely happy for her and had just wanted to congratulate her personally. They didn't chat for long before hanging up.
Celeste then went through the rest of her missed calls and messages, replying one by one.
Soon after, Beck, Kieran, Caleb, Bryson, and others all called her to offer their congratulations to her. Celeste thanked each of them politely.
Then reporters from major media outlets reached out, wanting to interview her. She spent quite some time speaking with them and arranging possible schedules.
It took her more than an hour to finish the arrangements.
Jordyn had woken up earlier than Celeste. When she saw her mother busy with the calls, she quietly stayed out of the way.
Although she had been staying at the Rodriguez residence these past few days, Trevor still called her every day—as he did now.

Most people didn't believe that Matthias or Zachary would risk their own reputations and futures for the sake of a woman.
The Lockets and Shaws knew of Celeste's capabilities. But that didn't mean they could accept it.
Their resentment only deepened as they watched her rise higher in the industry while backed by Matthias and Zachary.
"If Wynn had come back earlier and not missed the chance to join YodaVision, everything Celeste has now would've been hers."
"Exactly! Wynn has a much higher starting point than Celeste," Linda chimed in.
And it wasn't just the Lockets and the Shaws having such thoughts. Quentin Yallop, a former employee of YodaVision, had the same thought.
His expression turned extremely unpleasant looking at Celeste's newly published paper.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Breaking Point of Love (Celeste and Trevor)
Applause for Matthias but I’d love to see Celeste stand up for herself too and all this is going on with Jo right there, if she really doesn’t care what people think about her she should take Jo out of there. They can all continue their shenanigans...
Author, please increase chapter length at least. It took me just a minute to read two chapters 😭. Also, W Matthias 🥹...
Matthias grabbing his chance and running his mouth as long as no one stops him. King 👑...
Matthias, you dropped this 👑...
Matthias, man, I love you 😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣...
Wait do even Trevor’s friends didn’t know her relationship with Wynn? Did Trevor know?...
The uncovering of truth feels like a kid is peeling an onion layer by layer at extremely slow speed.. Truly exhausting...
Now how will Wynn and Lockett justify this? We've uncovered everything; we must finish this now, immediately....
I feel like the only thing to calm the issue is Zachary showing up and explaining she has been his student for the past 7 years. But doubt that will happen...
This is exhausting! Even with the truth spilled why are we so focused on the nonessential characters assumptions and opinions. This is spending not enough time on the MC. The ping pong of revelations and denial with corrections. Same exhausting pattern 😭😡...
