Beck remained silent, which made Miles assume he didn’t want to say anything because it wasn’t serious yet. Knowing he wouldn’t get an answer from Beck, Miles chuckled and crouched down to ask Shanice, “Shanice, how many times have you seen the lady who had lunch with you today? Do you know her name?
Beck’s grip on his glass tightened instantly, “Miles!”
Shanice didn’t understand the adults‘ intentions. She wasn’t very familiar with Miles, but since he was asking about Celeste, she thought about it seriously and answered without hesitation, “Three times!”
Miles continued, “And what’s her name?”
When Beck and Celeste met earlier that day, he didn’t even address her as “Ms. Rodriguez.” So Shanice, unable to recall her name, turned to Beck for help.
“Uncle Beck, what’s her name?”
Beck lowered his gaze. “Next time you see her, you can ask her yourself.”
Shanice beamed. “Okay!”
Miles muttered under his breath, “So stingy.”

Meanwhile, noticing how much Jordyn liked the crystal keychains, Shanice, though a little reluctant, still decided to give her one.
Jordyn accepted it with delight. “Thank you, Shanice!”
Wynin also expressed her gratitude.
Shanice smiled. “You’re welcome.”
Upon seeing how happy Jordyn was, she suddenly asked, “Je, aren’t you going to pick one for your mother too?” Jordyn hesitated for a moment, her voice dropping. “I’ll do that later.”
“Oh.”
After dinner, Celeste read for a while before heading to the bathroom to shower.
Just as he stepped out, her phone rang–it was Ivan.
“Cel, I just saw Ruby in the neighborhood.”
Hubry, as in Wynn’s maternal uncle’s wife?
Celeste froze for a moment, still processing the information, when Ivan continued, “At first, I didn’t think much of it, but then, after I got home, I noticed she went into the villa across from ours–the one that’s being renovated!

Even though Rodriguez Corporation was struggling, Ivan was still part of that circle–of course, he knew about it. He had simply chosen not to mention it to Celeste, not wanting to upset her,
It was understandable if the Locket family planned to settle in Baumond permanently and needed to buy property.
But knowing full well that the Rodriguez family lived here, they had deliberately chosen a house right across from them. Who would believe that was a coincidence?
Celeste understood what Ivan meant.
Gripping her phone tightly, she said, “I’ll call Trevor.”
“Alright.”
If it had been about anything else, Ivan wouldn’t have asked Celeste to reach out to Trevor. But this was different.
If Ruby and the others really moved in, they would likely try to assert their presence every single day. And with Betty’s health already fragile, any added stress could be harmful.
After ending the call with Ivan, Celeste immediately dialed Trevor’s number. The phone rang for a while before someone finally picked up.
“Hello?”

I just need an effing glimpse to what goes around in Trevor's mind. Author - do something about it please There is not even a single mention about what Trevor really wants - interested in Celeste? If yes, then why there is no reaction on seeing people courting Celeste...
I love the story bt really death slow... Y cant you post 5 to 10 chapters per day????...
This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
