Trevor hummed a response.
After Teagan finished her comment, she fell silent for a while before changing the subject.
After dinner, Tucker sat down beside Trevor. He already knew what had happened at Philip's banquet that night.
Although he'd always heard that Trevor had someone he liked outside the family, it wasn't until that banquet that he learned the person was CC, the race car driver he had always idolized.
It was only then that he understood why Trevor had refused to get him a signed photo of Wynn to put up in his room.
Seeing him sit down beside him, Trevor glanced at him. "What is it?"
Tucker hesitated for a moment before saying, "Trevor, I think Celeste is really great."
He had indeed been a fan of CC before. But after learning that CC and her mother's family were the very people who had hurt Celeste and the Rodriguez family, he couldn't bring himself to like her anymore.
Besides, even if none of that had happened, between Celeste and Wynn, he still preferred Celeste.
So, on the very night he saw the news online, he deleted all of Wynn's contact information and threw away the signed photo.
Trevor glanced at him. "Really?"
"Yeah. I think you and Celeste are the ones who really belong together."
Trevor smiled but said nothing.
Tucker knew that Trevor didn't particularly like other people asking about his private affairs. Since he wasn't responding, Tucker didn't say anything more.
Just as Tucker was about to leave, Trevor suddenly asked, "School's about to start?"
"Ah, yeah."
"Your college entrance exam results were pretty good. Is there anything you want as a gift?"
"No, that's okay..."
"She always has been."
Jordyn fell silent.
Trevor drove her home.
After she got out of the car, he watched her walk away. "I'm going to be home late tonight. Get some rest early."
Jordyn pretended not to hear him and went straight upstairs.
Trevor didn't mind. He told the driver to leave, and the car soon drove out of the compound.
Upstairs, Jordyn picked up her phone and found Celeste's number. She hesitated for a long time before finally giving Celeste a call.
Celeste was just getting ready to head out as well. When she saw the caller ID, she answered. "Jo?"
Hearing her mother pick up, Jordyn said, "Mom, I start school on the first. Do you have time to come to my opening ceremony?"

Somehow i am relieved today to see no updates than to be disappointed with yet another irritating show of everyone else's POV but the main characters...
I know everyone will not agree with me and I also know that Trevor is a trash and all but I want Trevor and Celeste to get back together. They should be the end game and for that to happen Trevor should start working hard for that second chance....
So we're going to go on for another 15 chapter's about jordan's temper tantrum with neither of the parents asking her what's wrong..stop milking it. The only reason i'm still reading is because i cant leave a book unfinished. What I'm pissed about is the book started with promise and turned into a circus....
The story should just come to an end and the writer should give their reader the closure they deserve. There's no point in keeping the story going. It's been the same since the start. Not has changed. The initial story plot was, that Celeste and Trevor are getting devorce and still after 800 + chapter, they are still heading for a devorce....
Don’t Shaws and Lockets reflect ever on themselves? Every difficult situation, they look forward to Wynn to ask for Trevor to help. Initially the focus of the novel was on how Wynn is so accomplished blah blah and now - she is just a useless person, incapable of anything. Irritating storyline...
I'm starting to get bored and I can't predict exactly where the story is headed....
