"Of course. I'm free on the first." Celeste hadn't forgotten about her daughter's first day of school.
Since Jordyn wanted her to be there for the opening ceremony, Celeste would naturally go if she was available.
Hearing that Celeste would be there, Jordyn seemed a little happier. "Then it's a promise, okay?"
"Okay."
Jordyn paused before saying, "Bye, Mom."
In the past, after telling Celeste what she wanted to say, Jordyn would usually continue sharing little things about her day or ask if her mother was busy.
She wasn't used to simply calling to say what she needed to say and hang up like this. And there was even a slight sense of unfamiliarity in her tone.
However, Celeste didn't ask about it. "Okay."
With that, she ended the call.
That night, Jordyn went to bed early.
The next morning, she only spoke to Trevor, who was sitting across from her, after starting to eat her breakfast. "Mom's going to the opening ceremony."
"Mm. I know."
On the morning of the first, when Trevor and Jordyn arrived at school, Celeste was already there.
After their conversation a few days earlier, Celeste and Jordyn hadn't been in contact again. And this was also the first time they'd seen each other since Philip's banquet.
The moment Jordyn saw Celeste, she got out of the car and hurried over, throwing herself into her mother's arms. "Mom!"
Seeing her rush into her arms, Celeste smiled and bent down to hug her. "Did you have breakfast?"
Jordyn was reluctant to leave her mother's embrace. "I did."
Celeste smiled.

Trevor and Celeste really were husband and wife!
Celeste and Trevor paid no attention to the curious looks around them and simply took Jordyn to her classroom to register.
As soon as they arrived, they attracted another wave of attention.
They introduced themselves to Jordyn's homeroom teacher. Then, the teacher asked what she should be aware of when taking care of Jordyn and what her interests were.

Trevor spoke with the teacher at length while Celeste listened quietly beside them.
The others nearby were curious too, and they couldn't help watching. Hearing Trevor talk to the teacher about his daughter, they were all rather surprised.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Breaking Point of Love (Celeste and Trevor)
Somehow i am relieved today to see no updates than to be disappointed with yet another irritating show of everyone else's POV but the main characters...
I know everyone will not agree with me and I also know that Trevor is a trash and all but I want Trevor and Celeste to get back together. They should be the end game and for that to happen Trevor should start working hard for that second chance....
So we're going to go on for another 15 chapter's about jordan's temper tantrum with neither of the parents asking her what's wrong..stop milking it. The only reason i'm still reading is because i cant leave a book unfinished. What I'm pissed about is the book started with promise and turned into a circus....
The story should just come to an end and the writer should give their reader the closure they deserve. There's no point in keeping the story going. It's been the same since the start. Not has changed. The initial story plot was, that Celeste and Trevor are getting devorce and still after 800 + chapter, they are still heading for a devorce....
Don’t Shaws and Lockets reflect ever on themselves? Every difficult situation, they look forward to Wynn to ask for Trevor to help. Initially the focus of the novel was on how Wynn is so accomplished blah blah and now - she is just a useless person, incapable of anything. Irritating storyline...
I'm starting to get bored and I can't predict exactly where the story is headed....
Beck being the only actual adult to ask a child what’s wrong...
Can we get to the point its stagnant and I am unimpressed,I don't care about the company being in trouble nor the inner thoughts of others. Come on now....
Its a good thing both jordan parents are loaded. They going to spend a lot for Jordan therapy. 😂...
Wynn has no shame. And keeping the staff well beyond their work hours is an a-hole move....
