The Captain I Married by Chance novel Chapter 194

“Wait a minute!”

Aaron followed her like a persistent ghost. “What did you say about getting married? How could you possibly be getting married?”

Aaron’s eyes were locked on Nora’s face. “This isn’t a funny joke. Even if you’re just trying to save face, you shouldn’t say something like that just to spite me.”

“We were together for seven years, and you’re getting married right after breaking up with me? Did you just grab some random guy off the street?”

Nora was getting incredibly annoyed with Aaron.

“You’re aware we broke up? Since we’re broken up, can’t I marry whoever I want? What does that have to do with you?”

Aaron was rendered speechless by Nora’s question.

Thinking about how he had specifically brought Mia here today to show off their new relationship, he knew he really had no right to ask such questions.

But he couldn’t accept it.

Deep down, he had always believed Nora was just throwing a tantrum and would never actually break up with him.

After all, they had been together for seven years!

For those seven years, Nora had cherished him and listened to him in everything.

She had worshipped the very ground he walked on. How could she really want to break up with him?

She just couldn’t accept the thing with Mia, so she was acting out.

But what man doesn’t make mistakes?

If Nora was really angry, he wasn’t against the idea of temporarily breaking things off with Mia to marry her first.

At this thought, Aaron’s gaze softened, and his tone became gentle. “Alright, Nora, let’s not talk about breaking up anymore, okay? I know you’re angry. We can talk about this calmly. I’ll agree to any demand you have, as long as you stop talking about breaking up.”

Nora seriously thought there was something wrong with Aaron’s head.

“Mia, I’ll explain later, okay?”

“Nora and I have seven years of history, after all. And we got along so well before. I just can’t believe she’d marry another man right after breaking up with me.”

Then, Aaron turned his attention back to Nora, trying to placate both of them as he pleaded earnestly, “Nora, look how understanding Mia is being. Can you please stop fighting with me?”

“Just be good about this whole breakup thing. We’ll find a chance to have a thorough talk and give each other another chance.”

“As for you getting married, don’t say that anymore. It only takes a second to tell a lie, but how are you going to cover it up later?”

“Where are you going to find a fiancé, anyway?”

“She doesn’t have to find one—” Nathan’s voice suddenly cut in.

“I’m her fiancé. If you have time, Mr. Wells, you’re welcome to bring your girlfriend to our wedding.”
